27 Mar 2003TL;DR: In this paper, a peripheral monitor including a transmission antenna for radiating transmission waves through a cover, a receiving antenna for receiving reflected waves through the cover, and a data processor for measuring a distance to any object is disposed together in a cover.
Abstract: The invention solves a problem of fluctuation in performance in the conventional peripheral monitor for monitoring periphery of a vehicle that measures a distance to other vehicle or any other object by transmitting radio waves and informs a driver of the distance due to variation in environmental conditions such as water drop sticking onto the cover. A peripheral monitor 1 including a transmission antenna 2 for radiating transmission waves through the cover, a receiving antenna 3 for receiving reflected waves through the cover, and a data processor for measuring a distance to any object are disposed together in a cover 7 . A transmission frequency at which reflected wave quantity is minimized is detected by detecting a first reflected signal level from the cover 7, and this frequency is a command to a variable frequency oscillator to conduct a transmission at this frequency at all times.

06 Jul 1989TL;DR: In this paper, a case and a cover formed by molding using a synthetic resin, and a metallic layer formed on the surface of the case which cooperates with the cover to provide an electromagnetic shield for the case.
Abstract: The electronic device housing employs unique temperature management functions. Thermally sensitive electronic components are thermally isolated from the environment and from temperature generating components provided within the housing through the use of an insulative case material. Furthermore, heat generating components are connected to the outside environment with a conductive thermal path which is isolated from the remaining components provided within the case, thereby efficiently transferring undesired heat to the environment without allowing the heat to substantially affect remaining components in the housing. The electronic device housing includes a case and a cover formed by molding using a synthetic resin, and a metallic layer formed on the surface of the case which cooperates with the cover to provide an electromagnetic shield for the case. Further, a waterproof seal is provided in the abutment between the case and the cover and the heat radiating effect of the case is enhanced by a heat radiation plate provided outside the case and connected to any heat generating components. The electronic device of such construction is easy to machine, light in weight and inexpensive.

19 May 1989TL;DR: In this paper, a porous tantalum sintered body is anode-oxidized to form a dielectric film composed of a tantalum oxide on the surface.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase capacitance and moreover reduce impedance at a high frequency region by a method, wherein this capacitor is composed of a conductive high polymer in which alkylsulfonate ions are doped in a high polymer having a heterocyclic monomer unit represented by a specific formula as a repetition unit. SOLUTION: A porous tantalum sintered body is anode-oxidized to form a dielectric film composed of a tantalum oxide on the surface. Next, after a tantalum sintered body formed with the dielectric film on the surface is dipped in a hydrogen peroxide solution and a vihiolic aqueous solution, it is taken out, and a high polymer film having a heterocyclic monomer unit as the repetition unit represented by a formula [R1, R2 are each independently an alkyl base or H, and X is S or NR3 (R3 is an alkyl base or H)] is formed on the dielectric film. Dodecylsulfonate ions and vitriolic ions are doped on the high polymer film to form a solid electrolytic layer composed of a conductive high polymer.

05 Jan 1994TL;DR: In this article, a vehicle guidance system consisting of a routing unit for finding a recommendable route between the present position of the vehicle and a destination by using road data was proposed.
Abstract: The present invention provides a vehicle guidance system capable of showing a recommendable route between the present position of the vehicle and a destination on a map. The vehicle guidance system comprises a routing unit for finding a recommendable route between the present position of the vehicle and a destination by using road data, a congestion detecting unit detects traffic congestion on the basis of the traveling mode of the vehicle, and a congested place estimating unit estimates presumably congested roads on the recommendable route by using the road data when the congestion detecting unit detects traffic congestion.
