TL;DR: In this paper, a digital content use right management system to decide whether or not digital content is available depending on a location of a user who desires to use the digital content was provided.
Abstract: A digital content management system to decide whether or not a digital content is available depending on a location of a user who desires to use the digital content is provided. A digital content use right management system includes a digital content server device 1 to store an encrypted digital content, a license server device 2 to generate and transmit license data 4 containing an available location of the digital content and a decryption key to decrypt the digital content, and a client device 3 to receive the digital content from the digital content server device 1 , to receive the license data 4 from the license server 2 , and based on a condition for use defined by its use condition, to determine whether or not to decrypt the digital content with the decryption key contained in the license data 4 . In the digital content use right management system, the client device 3 includes a current location identifying means to obtain a current location, and a license data processing means to compare the current location obtained by the current location identifying means with the available location contained in the license data 4 , and to determine whether or not to decrypt the digital content.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors successfully fabricated vertical GaN merged PiN Schottky (MPS) diodes and comparatively investigated the cyclic p-GaN width dependence of their electrical characteristics, including turn-on voltage and reverse leakage current.
Abstract: In this study, we successfully fabricated vertical GaN merged PiN Schottky (MPS) diodes and comparatively investigated the cyclic p-GaN width (W p) dependence of their electrical characteristics, including turn-on voltage and reverse leakage current. The MPS diodes with W p of more than 6 µm can turn on at around 3 V. Increasing W p can suppress the reverse leakage current. Moreover, the vertical GaN MPS diode with the breakdown voltage of 2 kV was realized for the first time.

TL;DR: In this article, an interference waveform dispersion spectrum of light reflected from a multi-layer film is compared to a waveform obtained by numerical calculation using an optical characteristic matrix. And the theoretical interference spectrum is recalculated while changing approximate values of the layer thicknesses until a match is obtained to obtain precise respective layer thickness.
Abstract: An interference waveform dispersion spectrum of light reflected from a multi-layer film is compared to a waveform obtained by numerical calculation using an optical characteristic matrix. Respective layer thickness values obtained from the calculated analysis of the Spatial interference waveform are subjected to waveform fitting with actually measured values. The theoretical interference spectrum is recalculated while changing approximate values of the layer thicknesses until a match is obtained to obtain precise respective layer thicknesses. The thicknesses of respective layers of a thin multi-layer film of submicron thicknesses can be non-destructively measured exactly and stably without direct contact.

TL;DR: In this paper, a light source device consisting of a point light source for emitting light, a support member for supporting the light source substrate, the support member arranged to be opposed to the reverse side of the mounting surface of the LBS substrate, has a substantially same size with the light BS substrate.
Abstract: A light source device comprising: a point light source for emitting light; a light source substrate directly mounting the point light source; a light source substrate cover having a through hole or a notch in a position to which the point light source corresponds, the light source substrate cover arranged opposite to a surface of the light source substrate on which the point light source is mounted; and a support member for supporting the light source substrate, the support member arranged to be opposed to the reverse side of the mounting surface of the light source substrate, the support member has a substantially same size with the light source substrate; wherein the light source substrate cover and the support member sandwich the light source substrate to support the light source substrate.

TL;DR: The criterion for achieving maximum MIMO capacity in a LoS environment is derived as a function of the transmit-receive separation distance, the array orientation and the inter-element spacings, which helps in the design of such systems.
Abstract: The authors investigate the capacity of multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems in line-of-sight (LoS). Under this scenario, the channel is normally rank deficient owing to the linear dependence of the LoS rays' phases on the receive elements. To overcome this problem, specifically designed antenna arrays can be employed, where the antenna elements are positioned in such a way as to preserve orthogonality; hence maximising the channel rank. To help in the design of such systems we derive the criterion for achieving maximum MIMO capacity in a LoS environment as a function of the transmit–receive separation distance, the array orientation and the inter-element spacings. We investigate the performance and the capacity sensitivity for a number of MIMO architectures using a Monte-Carlo simulation and a stochastic channel model. We then present a number of MIMO measurements performed inside an anechoic chamber and in an indoor office environment. Finally, our theoretic predictions are compared against the LoS measurements.
