13 Apr 1984TL;DR: A composite oriented structure having at least one thin surface layer containing highly subdivided inorganic material in an antiblock and coefficient of friction reducing proportion, said thin layer being formed simultaneously or sequentially on a comparatively thick base layer and thereafter oriented and the method of preparing the multilayer structure as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite oriented structure having at least one thin surface layer containing highly subdivided inorganic material in an antiblock and coefficient of friction reducing proportion, said thin layer being formed simultaneously or sequentially on a comparatively thick base layer and thereafter oriented and the method of preparing the multilayer structure.

24 Dec 1986TL;DR: In this article, a two-stage high energy impulse device was used in combination with a retarded acid to improve the effectiveness of control pulse fracturing in a carbonate formation, where the first impulse stage activated the acid and the second impulse stage fractured the formation and forced the activated acid into the created fractures.
Abstract: A process for improving the effectiveness of control pulse fracturing in a carbonate formation wherein a two stage high energy impulse device is utilized in combination with a retarded acid. Upon placement of such device within a wellbore, the first impulse stage activates said acid. Afterwards, the second impulse stage fractures the formation and forces the activated acid into the created fractures thereby enhancing acid contact with said formation.

05 Jan 1971TL;DR: In this article, a Disposable Plastic DisH is compared with a THIN LAMINA of ORIENTED THERMOPLASTIC FILM.
Abstract: A DISPOSABLE PLASTIC DISH COMPRISED OF A THIN LAMINA OF ORIENTED THERMOPLASTIC FILM SUPERIMPOSED UPON A POLYSTYRENE FOAM LAMINA, THE DISH HAVING AN OUTWARDLY EXTENDING RIM AT ITS UPPER PERIPHERY, THE FOAM OF THE RIM BEING COMPRESSED TO STRENGTHEN THE EDGE OF THE DISH AND TO RESULT IN THE RIM TAPERING TO A THIN EDGE AT THE PERIPHERY OF THE DISH. THE THIN EDGE OF THE RIM IS SUBSTANTIALLY SHIELDED FROM VIEW FROM ABOVE BY THE SUPERIMPOSED THERMOPLASTIC FILM AND THE CONFIGURATION OF THE RIM.

TL;DR: In this article, a study of grid pressures obtained from the simulation of single phase flow through an isotropic porous medium using different numerical methods is presented, and well equations are proposed for Darcy flow with Galerkin finite elements and mixed finite elements.
Abstract: Numerical simulation of fluid flow in a hydrocarbon reservoir has to account for the presence of wells. The pressure of a grid cell containing a well is different from the average pressure in that cell and different from the bottom-hole pressure for the well [17]. This paper presents a study of grid pressures obtained from the simulation of single phase flow through an isotropic porous medium using different numerical methods. Well equations are proposed for Darcy flow with Galerkin finite elements and mixed finite elements. Furthermore, high velocity (non-Darcy) flow well equations are developed for cell-centered finite difference, Galerkin finite element and mixed finite element techniques.
