TL;DR: The comprehensive analysis is done on the several edge detection techniques such as Prewitt, Sobel, Canny, Roberts and Laplacian of Gaussian to find Canny edge detector is working well than others.
Abstract: One of the important objectives of image processing is to interpret the content of image efficiently and finds the meaningful and significant information from it. The much awareness has been received from various researchers in the field of image interpretation. One of the most severe step in image interpretation is to mine the edges information from the image appropriately. Edges are the fundamental features of the image and can be formed from the outlines of the object. Edge detection is generally used in image analysis and processing. There are several types of algorithm to detect the edges. In this paper, the comprehensive analysis is done on the several edge detection techniques such as Prewitt, Sobel, Canny, Roberts and Laplacian of Gaussian. It is experimentally observed that Canny edge detector is working well than others. This work is implemented on Matlab R2015a.

TL;DR: The optimization of biomass loading enzyme loading, surfactant concentration and incubation time, using response surface methodology (RSM) and Box Behnken design for enzymatic saccharification of sugarcane tops (SCT) for maximum recovery of fermentable sugars using crude cellulases, resulted in 90.24% saccharization efficiency.
Abstract: The optimization of biomass loading enzyme loading, surfactant concentration and incubation time, using response surface methodology (RSM) and Box Behnken design for enzymatic saccharification of sugarcane tops (SCT) for maximum recovery of fermentable sugars using crude cellulases, resulted in 90.24% saccharification efficiency. Maximum saccharification yield of 0.376 g/g glucose as substrate for ethanol production was observed at optimal conditions of 10% biomass loading (pretreated), 100FPU/g of cellulase loading, 0.04% (w/w) surfactant concentration and 72 h of incubation time.

TL;DR: The proposed LMI based PID control reduces the required control effort while assuring that pre-defined design conditions for dynamic response of system like settling time, overshoot and Integral square error are met.
Abstract: In this paper an approach for designing an optimum gain of Proportional integral derivative (PID) controller subject to Linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints for load frequency regulation of single area and multi-area power system is presented. The LMI based PID control reduces the required control effort while assuring that pre-defined design conditions for dynamic response of system like settling time, overshoot and Integral square error. Further a subset of complex plane with respect to the design conditions is mapped onto a stability region in the coefficient space of the characteristic polynomial. Next, the stability region in the polynomial coefficient space defines LMI as a constraint, which is used to find the optimum gain of PID controllers. A series of simulations results are performed for efficacy of proposed design approach especially for dynamic response of single area and multi-area power system which is superior in comparison to other design method obtained from literature. The simulation results demonstrate that the designed controller can effectively restrain the impact of variation in system parameters and load disturbance.
