TL;DR: In this article, the effect of input process variables on material removal rate (MRR) and kerf width (K w) during the cutting of borosilicate glass using self-developed tabletop traveling wire electrochemical spark machining (TW-ECSM) setup was investigated.
Abstract: Machining performance study of newly developed machining processes has always been a challenge to make them industrially viable. Traveling wire electrochemical spark machining (TW-ECSM) is a newly developed hybrid process in the area of nontraditional machining process which can be effectively utilized for difficult-to-cut electrically nonconductive very hard and brittle materials. Present paper discusses the investigations showing the effect of input process variables on material removal rate (MRR) and kerf width (K w) during the cutting of borosilicate glass using self-developed tabletop TW-ECSM setup. The experimental studies are conducted under varying applied voltage, pulse-on time, pulse-off time, electrolyte concentration, and wire feed velocity. The experimental results shows that MRR and K w increase with increase in applied voltage as well as pulse-on time, but these performance characteristics decrease with increase in pulse-off time. MRR and K w increase with increase in electrolyte concentrat...

TL;DR: As the paradigm in the computing world shifted towards web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA) is also discussed in context of webGIS.
Abstract: Phenomenal progress has been witnessed in the field of Geographic Information System (GIS) in recent times. The development of webGIS is the result of the growth of the Internet and consequently World Wide Web. The webGIS architecture is continuously changing according to contemporary technologies and requirements. In this paper, webGIS and its architectures are reviewed. Firstly, GIS and invention of the Internet are discussed. Evolution of webGIS is then covered along with major milestones of its development and open source initiatives. It is followed by discussion on client server architecture and its types. Thick and thin client architectures are then described and compared. As the paradigm in the computing world shifted towards web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA) is also discussed in context of webGIS. Spatial cloud computing and cloud-based architecture for webGIS are then described. The paper also provides a comparison of different webGIS architectures so that suitable architecture can be selected by the user based upon the requirements.

TL;DR: Advanced signal processing techniques in field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to identify PQ and islanding events in real time are concentrated on, based on orthogonal empirical mode decomposition (OEMD) implemented in FPGA.
Abstract: The real-time analysis of power quality (PQ) disturbances and islanding detection for distributed generation (DG) system using signal processing algorithms are still at a premature stage. Quick and reliable detection of islanding and PQ disturbances needs renewed focus. This paper is concentrated on the implementation of advanced signal processing techniques in field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to identify PQ and islanding events in real time. The proposed scheme is based on orthogonal empirical mode decomposition (OEMD) implemented in FPGA. This technique does not suffer from the loss of signal characteristics with successive decomposition levels. The performance of said technique is demonstrated for different PQ and islanding events simulated on IEEE 13 bus DG system and experiments conducted on a laboratory setup. The detection ability has been compared with discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and basic empirical mode decomposition (EMD). It is found that DWT completely fails for the signal with noise content, while the performance of basic EMD deteriorates with an increased level of noise content. On the other hand, OEMD reliably and accurately detects the disturbances conducted in the study, both simulated and experimental.

TL;DR: The quantification of entanglement as negativity measure used in this work found that the frequency of occurrence ofEntanglement sudden death and entanglements sudden birth in two parameter class of state is half than qubit–qutrit pure state.
Abstract: We study entanglement dynamics of qubit---qutrit pair under Dzyaloshinskii---Moriya (DM) interaction. The qubit---qutrit pair acts as a closed system and one external qubit serve as the environment for the pair. The external qubit interact with qubit of closed system via DM interaction. This interaction frequently kills the entanglement between qubit---qutrit pair, which is also periodically recovered. On the other hand two parameter class of state of qubit---qutrit pair also affected by DM interaction and one parameter class of state remains unaffected. The frequency of occurrence of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth in two parameter class of state is half than qubit---qutrit pure state. We used our quantification of entanglement as negativity measure.
