TL;DR: In this paper, a transceiver coupled with a processor is configured to estimate a signal power associated with a second transmission from a second base station, wherein the second transmission is part of a signal received at the terminal.
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal is disclosed The terminal includes a transceiver coupled to a processor configured to estimate a signal power associated with a second transmission from a second base station, wherein the second transmission is part of a signal received at the terminal wherein the signal includes a first transmission from a first base station and the second transmission from the second base station The processor is also configured to estimate a Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of the received signal, and to subtract the signal power associated with the second transmission from the estimated RSSI to obtain a modified RSSI

TL;DR: In this paper, a window-frame-shaped opening is created in the polymeric film, exposing portions of the substrate surface, and an adhesive material is applied to fill the space between the semiconductor device and the substrate.
Abstract: A semiconductor device assembly comprises a semiconductor device (10) attached to a substrate (20). The substrate has a metallization pattern (22) on the surface and a polymeric film (24) covering most of the surface and the metallization pattern. A window-frame shaped opening (26) is created in the film, exposing portions of the substrate surface. The semiconductor device is attached to the substrate in such a manner that it lies in the interior perimeter (28) of the window-frame shaped opening in the film. An adhesive material (18) is applied to fill the space between the semiconductor device and the substrate. The window frame opening in the polymeric film serves to confine the adhesive to the area in the opening and underneath the device and prevents unwanted spread of the underfill material by forming an ideal fillet geometry. In another embodiment of the invention, the semiconductor device is in a package and the package is attached directly to the substrate.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for providing a location-based game associated with a plurality of mobile stations (170) is described, where the controller (210) may determine a plurality game parameters based on user input from one of the players.
Abstract: A method (400) and a controller (210) for providing a location-based game associated with a plurality of mobile stations (170) are described herein. The controller (210) may determine a plurality of game parameters based on user input from one of a plurality of players. The plurality of game parameters may include, but is not limited to, a game area (500) having a plurality of activation locations (505). The controller (210) may determine location associated with at least one of the plurality of mobile stations (164). In response to one of the plurality of mobile stations (164) being within a proximity threshold (535) associated with one of the plurality of activation locations (530), the controller (210) may activate a game feature within one of the plurality of mobile stations (164). Accordingly, the controller (210) may provide a point value to one of the plurality of players in response to a trigger event associated with the game feature.

TL;DR: In this article, a method and system for data transmission by computational devices in a wireless network (100) is described, and a computational device allocates a Contention Free Period (CFP) slot to each computational device in the wireless network based on at least one of the lists of interferers and the list of descendents and transmits data during the allocated CFP slot.
Abstract: A method and system for data transmission by computational devices in a wireless network ( 100 ) are disclosed. A computational device ( 102 ) organizes the wireless network in a hierarchical topology having at least one root node and updates a list of interferers and a list of descendents. Then, the computational device allocates a Contention Free Period (CFP) slot to each computational device in the wireless network based on at least one of the list of interferers and the list of descendents and transmits data during the allocated CFP slot.
