TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the concepts of dentable point and approximating cones to derive sufficient conditions guaranteeing that the set of minimal points is contained in the closure of the positive proper minimal points, which can be applied to obtain a density result for the unit ball in 1 p, 1
Abstract: One of the important problems of vector optimization concerns the density of the set of positive proper minimal points in the set of minimal points. We use the concepts of dentable point and approximating cones to derive sufficient conditions guaranteeing that the set of minimal points is contained in the closure of the set of positive proper minimal points. The result can be applied to obtain a density result for the unit ball in 1 p , 1

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors introduced the concept of the Z-M-PN space and obtained some new fixed point theorems in probabilistic metric spaces, such as the fixed point theorem of Schauder, Guo's theorem and Petryshyn's theorem.
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the concept of the Z-M-PN space, and obtain some new fixed point theorems in probabilistic metric spaces. Meanwhile, some famous fixed point theorems are generalized in probabilistic metric spaces, such as fixed point theorem of Schauder, Guo's theorem and fixed point theorem of Petryshyn are generalized in Menger PN-space. And fixed point theorem of Altman is also generalized in the Z-M-PN space.

TL;DR: In this paper, the conversion of cyclohexane dehydrogenation over Pt−Dy/Al2O3 has been studied with a pulsed microcatalytic reactor.
Abstract: The conversion of cyclohexane dehydrogenation over Pt−Dy/Al2O3 has been studied with a pulsed microcatalytic reactor. Two interesting experiments utilizing CS2 and thiophene poisoning Pt/Al2O3 and Pt−Dy/Al2O3 for cyclohexane dehydrogenation are shown and the reaction mechanism is described. The kinetic parameters of cyclohexane dehydrogenation have been calculated. Correlation of the catalytic behavior with the properties of active sites is also discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of an external magnetic field on the plasmon polaritons in finite quasiperiodic superlattices consisting of alternate degenerate semiconductor or metallic layers are considered.
Abstract: We consider the effects of an external magnetic field on the plasmon polaritons in finite quasiperiodic superlattices consisting of alternate degenerate semiconductor or metallic layers. The magnetic field is applied parallel to the interfaces. A type of magnetoplasmon polariton that is not present in the conductor-insulator-conductor configuration is discussed. The spectrum is composed of three main bands in which the modes exhibit different localization properties. The modes at higher frequency are extended, but those at lower frequency are critical or localized. Some surface modes have been found in the finite system.

TL;DR: In this article, the selenium contents of 31 tea samples from nine provinces of the PR China were determined by hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (HG-AAS).
Abstract: In the People's Republic of China there are wide regions where many people suffer from strong selenium deficiency. In order to elucidate the possibilities to compensate this state of need by the national drink, the selenium contents of 31 tea samples from nine provinces of the PR China were determined by hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (HG-AAS). The Se contents of the ten analyzed tea samples from one region with soils containing high selenium amounts range from 83 ng/g to 7530 ng/g. These results are in contrast to the Se contents of the remaining tea samples from other regions, which range from 28 to 573 ng/g. The extractible part of selenium in the tea drink ranges between 7% and 27% without significant difference among different tea samples. The accuracy of Se determination was tested by using one tea standard reference material. The daily consumption of one “Se tea” examined in this study assures that people who suffer from a Se deficiency resume enough of it. Drinking normal quantities of this tea an intoxication by Se is not to be expected.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of equal-absorptive wavelength spectrophotometry was applied to the quantitative analysis of three-component mixtures with serious overlapping spectra, where several pairs of wavelength with equal absorbance of the third (interfering) component were selected and the absorbances of the mixture at these selected wavelengths were recorded.
Abstract: A method of equal-absorptive wavelength spectrophotometry was applied to the quantitative analysis of three-component mixtures with serious overlapping spectra. This method was carried out as following: Several pairs of wavelength with equal absorbance of the third (interfering) component were selected and the absorbances of the mixture at these selected wavelengths were recorded. Then the measurements were treated by using the linear equation proposed in this paper and a linear plot was obtained. The concentrations of the first two components were thus obtained from the slope and the intercept of this linear line, respectively. Based on the property of additivity of absorbances, the concentration of the third component (interfering) can then be obtained. This proposed method offers advantage of simplicity and it has been applied to the analysis of ternary mixture of tungsten, molybdenum and germanium using the colour reaction with phenylfluorone (PF) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTMAB).

Abstract: We consider the resonant tunneling of electrons through one-dimensional Canter-like fractal barriers. By means of a transfer matrix method, we present a general formalism to calculate the transmission and give some numerical examples. It is found that the transmission spectrum shows rich fractal patterns due to the self-similar geometry of the Canter set. The scaling behaviour of the transmission spectrum is explored. By plotting the amplitudes of the wave functions, we also investigate the quasi-localization properties of the electrons.

TL;DR: Gross anatomy, ultrastructure, innervation and ultrastructural alterations of the prothoracic gland (PTG) of cotton bollworm, Helicover pa armigera (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) are illustrated for the last larval and early pupal stages as observed by light and electron microscopy.
Abstract: Gross anatomy, ultrastructure, innervation and ultrastructural alterations of the prothoracic gland (PTG) of cotton bollworm, Helicover pa armigera (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) are illustrated for the last larval and early pupal stages as observed by light and electron microscopy. The T-shaped, paired (PTGs) consist each of 76–116 cells which are classified morphologically as large and small gland cells. In addition, another kind of small (about 6μ in diameter) gland cell was found in the PTGs of last instar larvae. The PTGs are innervated by the branches of 3 nerves! and tracheae and tracheoles are abundantly distributed to these glands. PTGs disappeared completely by the third day after ecdysis to the pupal stage (at temperature 28 C with a photoperiod L15:D9). An intercellular channel system (ICS) is formed by numerous, deep invaginations of the plasma membrane of gland cells. This ICS gradually increases in depth and width and reaches maximum development around the time of the major ecdysteroid secretion peak during the last larval instar. Numerous multivesicular sacs (MVS) with their remnants and an extensive rough endoplasmic reticulum were observed within ICS and cytoplasm, respectively, on the fourth day of the last larval instar. At that time the matrix of mitochondria became much more electron lucent. Freeze-fracture replicas of the glandular epithelium were made from last instar (4th day larvae. Dynamics of structure are related to data from others concerning secretory states of the prothoracic glands of this species.
