TL;DR: It is predicted that a reduction in junctional tension fluidizes the tissue through an increase in intercalation rate and corresponding reduction in bulk viscosity, in the manner of an unjamming transition, which accelerates wound healing.
Abstract: The collective behaviour of cells in epithelial tissues is dependent on their mechanical properties. However, the contribution of tissue mechanics to wound healing in vivo remains poorly understood. Here we investigate the relationship between tissue mechanics and wound healing in live Drosophila wing imaginal discs and show that by tuning epithelial cell junctional tension, we can systematically alter the rate of wound healing. Coincident with the contraction of an actomyosin purse string, we observe cells flowing past each other at the wound edge by intercalating, reminiscent of molecules in a fluid, resulting in seamless wound closure. Using a cell-based physical model, we predict that a reduction in junctional tension fluidises the tissue through an increase in intercalation rate and corresponding reduction in bulk viscosity, in the manner of an unjamming transition. The resultant fluidisation of the tissue accelerates wound healing. Accordingly, when we experimentally reduce tissue tension in wing discs, intercalation rate increases and wounds repair in less time.

TL;DR: This work presents a new authentication scheme for WSNs using the random oracle model to show the formal proof, and uses the protocol analyzing tool Proverif to list the formal verification process.
Abstract: The notion Internet of Things (IoT) means all things in the global network can be interconnected and accessed. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of the most important applications of the notion and is widely used in nearly all scopes. In 2014, Hsieh et al. presented an improved authentication scheme for WSNs. But it has several weaknesses, including no session key, lack of mutual authentication and under the insider attack, the off-line guessing attack, the user forgery attack and the sensor capture attack. To avoid the weaknesses, we present a new authentication scheme which is also for WSNs. Then we employ the random oracle model to show the formal proof, and use the protocol analyzing tool Proverif to list the formal verification process. Compared with some recent schemes for WSNs via the aspects of security properties, the proposed scheme overcomes the common problems and fits for the security properties of IoT.

TL;DR: The decision‐making problem concerning railway project investment has been solved through the proposed PF LIN MAP method with PFE, and the practicability and effectiveness of the PF LINMAP method has been verified via the comparative analysis with the existing methods.
Abstract: The uncertainty and complexity of the decision-making environment and the subjectivity of the decision makers will lead to the inevitable errors of the decision-making data. A poor decision will be produced with those errors, whereas the linear programming technique for multidimensional analysis of preference (LINMAP) method can adjust such errors through constructing an optimal programming model based on the consistency of the decision-making information, and it has been applied widely in multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM). Moreover, Pythagorean fuzzy information is useful to simulate the ambiguous and uncertain decision-making environment. Therefore, the LINMAP method under the Pythagorean fuzzy circumstance will be proposed in this paper to solve MAGDM problems. To measure the fuzziness and uncertainty of Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) and interval-valued PFS, Pythagorean fuzzy entropy (PFE) and interval-valued PFE (IVPFE) grounded on the similarity and hesitancy parts have been defined, respectively. Then, Pythagorean fuzzy LINMAP (PF LINMAP) methods are constructed on the basis of the PFE and IVPFE correspondingly. Under the given preference relations, the maximum consistency and the amount of knowledge can be realized by the proposed methods. After investigating the relevant indicator system, the decision-making problem concerning railway project investment has been solved through the proposed PF LINMAP method with PFE. Finally, the practicability and effectiveness of the PF LINMAP method has been verified via the comparative analysis with the existing methods.

TL;DR: In this paper, synoptic situations associated with extreme hourly precipitation over China are investigated using rain gauge data, weather maps, and composite radar reflectivity data, and the 99.9th percentile is thus used as the threshold to define the extreme hourly rainfall for each station.
Abstract: In this study, synoptic situations associated with extreme hourly precipitation over China are investigated using rain gauge data, weather maps, and composite radar reflectivity data. Seasonal variations of hourly precipitation (>0.1 mm h−1) suggest complicated regional features in the occurrence frequency and intensity of rainfall. The 99.9th percentile is thus used as the threshold to define the extreme hourly rainfall for each station. The extreme rainfall is the most intense over the south coastal areas and the North China Plain. About 77% of the extreme rainfall records occur in summer with a peak in July (30.4%) during 1981–2013.Nearly 5800 extreme hourly rainfall records in 2011–15 are classified into four types according to the synoptic situations under which they occur: the tropical cyclone (TC), surface front, vortex/shear line, and weak-synoptic forcing. They contribute 8.0%, 13.9%, 39.1%, and 39.0%, respectively, to the total occurrence and present distinctive characteristics in region...
