TL;DR: A two-dimensional heterostructure of CoSx (CoS and Co9S8) quantum dots embedded N/S-doped carbon nanosheets ( coSx@NSC) is prepared by a sol-gel method, showing excellent rate capability and outstanding cycling stability, making it promising as an anode material for high-performance sodium-ion batteries.
Abstract: Metal sulfides are promising anode materials for sodium-ion batteries due to their large specific capacities. The practical applications of metal sulfides in sodium-ion batteries, however, are still limited due to their large volume expansion, poor cycling stability, and sluggish electrode kinetics. In this work, a two-dimensional heterostructure of CoSx (CoS and Co9S8) quantum dots embedded N/S-doped carbon nanosheets (CoSx@NSC) is prepared by a sol–gel method. The CoSx quantum dots are in situ formed within ultrafine carbon nanosheets without further sulfidation, thus resulting in ultrafine CoSx particle size and embedded heterostructure. Meanwhile, enriched N and S codoping in the carbon nanosheets greatly enhances the electrical conductivity for the conductive matrix and creates more active sites for sodium storage. As a result, the hybrid CoSx@NSC electrode shows excellent rate capability (600 mAh g–1 at 0.2 A g–1 and 500 mAh g–1 at 10 A g–1) and outstanding cycling stability (87% capacity retention ...

TL;DR: Three antipyrine derivatives of o-, m- and p-chlorobenzylideneaminoantipyrines were characterized by spectral techniques and density functional calculations and represent that the pi-conjugated moieties linked by Schiff base imines are responsible for the excellent Raman scattering activities of these compounds.

TL;DR: A fundamental result called the equation of optimality in uncertain optimal control is given, and as an application, this result is used to solve a portfolio selection model.
Abstract: Optimal control is a very important field of study not only in theory but in applications, and stochastic optimal control is also a significant branch of research in theory and applications. Based on the concept of uncertain process, an uncertain optimal control problem is dealt with. Applying Bellman's principle of optimality, the principle of optimality for uncertain optimal control is obtained, and then a fundamental result called the equation of optimality in uncertain optimal control is given. Finally, as an application, the equation of optimality is used to solve a portfolio selection model.

TL;DR: In this article, a nanostructured perovskite oxide (SNCF-NR) was used as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for overall water splitting, achieving a current density of 10 mA cm(-2) at a cell voltage of merely approximate 1.68 V.
Abstract: The development of highly efficient and low-cost electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is paramount for water splitting associated with the storage of clean and renewable energy. Here, this study reports its findings in the development of a nanostructured perovskite oxide as OER/HER bifunctional electrocatalyst for overall water splitting. Prepared by a facile electrospinning method, SrNb0.1Co0.7Fe0.2O3- perovskite nanorods (SNCF-NRs) display excellent OER and HER activity and stability in an alkaline solution, benefiting from the catalytic nature of perovskites and unique structural features. More importantly, the SNCF-NR delivers a current density of 10 mA cm(-2) at a cell voltage of merely approximate to 1.68 V while maintaining remarkable durability when used as both anodic and cathodic catalysts in an alkaline water electrolyzer. The performance of this bifunctional perovskite material is among the best ever reported for overall water splitting, offering a cost-effective alternative to noble metal based electrocatalysts.
