TL;DR: The robust 3D architectures combining with the monolayer feature of the hybrid NSs not only prevent the MoS2 and graphene NSs from restacking, but also enable fast electrode kinetics due to the surface reaction mechanism and highly conductive graphene matrix, making them promising as advanced anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.
Abstract: Monolayer MoS2 nanosheets (NSs) are promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries because all redox reactions take place at the surface without lithium-ion diffusion limit. However, the expanded band gap of monolayer MoS2 NSs (∼1.8 eV) compared to their bulk counterparts (∼1.2 eV) and restacking tendency due to the van der Waals forces result in poor electron transfer and loss of the structure advantage. Here, a facile approach is developed to fabricate the MoS2–graphene aerogels comprising controlled three-dimensional (3D) porous architectures constructed by interconnected monolayer MoS2–graphene hybrid NSs. The robust 3D architectures combining with the monolayer feature of the hybrid NSs not only prevent the MoS2 and graphene NSs from restacking, but also enable fast electrode kinetics due to the surface reaction mechanism and highly conductive graphene matrix. As a consequence, the 3D porous monolayer MoS2–graphene composite aerogels exhibit a large reversible capacity up to 1200 mAh g–1 as well...

TL;DR: This work proposes a fully active feature interaction across both space and scales, called Feature Pyramid Transformer (FPT), which transforms any feature pyramid into another feature pyramid of the same size but with richer contexts, by using three specially designed transformers in self-level, top-down, and bottom-up interaction fashion.
Abstract: Feature interactions across space and scales underpin modern visual recognition systems because they introduce beneficial visual contexts. Conventionally, spatial contexts are passively hidden in the CNN’s increasing receptive fields or actively encoded by non-local convolution. Yet, the non-local spatial interactions are not across scales, and thus they fail to capture the non-local contexts of objects (or parts) residing in different scales. To this end, we propose a fully active feature interaction across both space and scales, called Feature Pyramid Transformer (FPT). It transforms any feature pyramid into another feature pyramid of the same size but with richer contexts, by using three specially designed transformers in self-level, top-down, and bottom-up interaction fashion. FPT serves as a generic visual backbone with fair computational overhead. We conduct extensive experiments in both instance-level (i.e., object detection and instance segmentation) and pixel-level segmentation tasks, using various backbones and head networks, and observe consistent improvement over all the baselines and the state-of-the-art methods (Code is open-sourced at https://github.com/ZHANGDONG-NJUST).

TL;DR: In this article, a straightforward strategy is designed for the fabrication of CuFe2O4-graphene heteroarchitecture via a one-step hydrothermal route to allow multifunctional properties, i.e., magnetic cycling, high photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation, and excellent electrochemical behaviors for use as the anode in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).
Abstract: A straightforward strategy is designed for the fabrication of CuFe2O4-graphene heteroarchitecture via a one-step hydrothermal route to allow multifunctional properties, i.e., magnetic cycling, high photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation, and excellent electrochemical behaviors for use as the anode in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations indicate that graphene sheets are exfoliated and decorated with hexagonal CuFe2O4 nanoflakes. The photocatalytic activity measurements demonstrate that the combination of CuFe2O4 and graphene results in a dramatic conversion of the inert CuFe2O4 into a highly active catalyst for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. CuFe2O4 nanoparticles themselves have excellent magnetic properties, which makes the CuFe2O4-graphene heteroarchitecture magnetically recyclable in a suspension system. It should be pointed out that the CuFe2O4-graphene (with 25 wt % graphene) heteroarchitecture as a...
