TL;DR: A novel, efficient, and easy to calculate measure known as structural similarity measure (Structure-measure) to evaluate non-binary foreground maps that simultaneously evaluates region-aware and object-aware structural similarity between a SM and a GT map.
Abstract: Foreground map evaluation is crucial for gauging the progress of object segmentation algorithms, in particular in the filed of salient object detection where the purpose is to accurately detect and segment the most salient object in a scene. Several widely-used measures such as Area Under the Curve (AUC), Average Precision (AP) and the recently proposed Fbw have been utilized to evaluate the similarity between a non-binary saliency map (SM) and a ground-truth (GT) map. These measures are based on pixel-wise errors and often ignore the structural similarities. Behavioral vision studies, however, have shown that the human visual system is highly sensitive to structures in scenes. Here, we propose a novel, efficient, and easy to calculate measure known an structural similarity measure (Structure-measure) to evaluate non-binary foreground maps. Our new measure simultaneously evaluates region-aware and object-aware structural similarity between a SM and a GT map. We demonstrate superiority of our measure over existing ones using 5 meta-measures on 5 benchmark datasets.

TL;DR: The Bi anode in combination with the dimethoxyethane-(DME) based electrolyte to deliver a remarkable capacity of ca.
Abstract: Potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) are plagued by a lack of materials for reversible accommodation of the large-sized K+ ion. Herein we present, the Bi anode in combination with the dimethoxyethane-(DME) based electrolyte to deliver a remarkable capacity of ca. 400 mAh g-1 and long cycle stability with three distinct two-phase reactions of Bi↔ KBi2 ↔K3 Bi2 ↔K3 Bi. These are ascribed to the gradually developed three-dimensional (3D) porous networks of Bi, which realizes fast kinetics and tolerance of its volume change during potassiation and depotassiation. The porosity is linked to the unprecedented movement of the surface Bi atoms interacting with DME molecules, as suggested by DFT calculations. A full KIB of Bi//DME-based electrolyte//Prussian blue of K0.72 Fe[Fe(CN)6 ] is demonstrated to present large energy density of 108.1 Wh kg-1 with average discharge voltage of 2.8 V and capacity retention of 86.5 % after 350 cycles.

TL;DR: In this article, the physics opportunities of the Future Circular Collider (FC) were reviewed, covering its e+e-, pp, ep and heavy ion programs, and the measurement capabilities of each FCC component, addressing the study of electroweak, Higgs and strong interactions.
Abstract: We review the physics opportunities of the Future Circular Collider, covering its e+e-, pp, ep and heavy ion programmes. We describe the measurement capabilities of each FCC component, addressing the study of electroweak, Higgs and strong interactions, the top quark and flavour, as well as phenomena beyond the Standard Model. We highlight the synergy and complementarity of the different colliders, which will contribute to a uniquely coherent and ambitious research programme, providing an unmatchable combination of precision and sensitivity to new physics.

TL;DR: This work reports a molecular copper-porphyrin complex that can be used as a heterogeneous electrocatalyst with high activity and selectivity for reducing CO2 to hydrocarbons in aqueous media and represents the highest catalytic activity to date for hydrocarbon production over a molecular CO2 reduction Electrocatalyst.
Abstract: Exploration of heterogeneous molecular catalysts combining the atomic-level tunability of molecular structures and the practical handling advantages of heterogeneous catalysts represents an attractive approach to developing high-performance catalysts for important and challenging chemical reactions such as electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction which holds the promise for converting emissions back to fuels utilizing renewable energy. Thus, far, efficient and selective electroreduction of CO2 to deeply reduced products such as hydrocarbons remains a big challenge. Here, we report a molecular copper-porphyrin complex (copper(II)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(2,6-dihydroxyphenyl)porphyrin) that can be used as a heterogeneous electrocatalyst with high activity and selectivity for reducing CO2 to hydrocarbons in aqueous media. At −0.976 V vs the reversible hydrogen electrode, the catalyst is able to drive partial current densities of 13.2 and 8.4 mA cm–2 for methane and ethylene production from CO2 reduction, correspo...
