TL;DR: In this article, the histological tolerance of medical cyanoacrylate adhesives (CAs), butyl-CA and octylCA, applied by two different methods in surgical skin incisions of T. scripta turtles was evaluated.
Abstract: Background The aim of this study was to evaluate the histological tolerance of medical cyanoacrylate adhesives (CAs), butyl-CA and octyl-CA, applied by two different methods in surgical skin incisions of T. scripta. Methods A two-trial controlled blind study each one including 12 female adult T. scripta turtles. Two 1-cm long full-thickness surgical skin incisions were made on the dorsal aspect of each hind limb. In trial 1 CAs were applied superficially over the apposed wound edges; each animal's four wounds were closed using butyl-CA, octyl-CA and ethyl-CA or absorbable suture as controls. In trial 2 adhesives were applied holding wound edges everted, and octyl-CA was replaced by a non-sutured control wound. At each time point (2, 7, 14 and 21 days) all wounds from three randomly chosen animals were biopsied. Results Medical grade CAs did not induce any sign of tissue damage and/or inflammatory reaction attributable to histotoxicity independently of the method of application. Wound dehiscence rate was higher when CAs were applied superficially over the apposed wound edges. Conclusions Octyl and butyl-CA are well tolerated by turtles' soft skin but because of their high rate of dehiscence they are not recommended in high tension wounds; use in low tension wounds needs further investigation.

TL;DR: The ROBO-TIC 1.0 project as mentioned in this paper was the first cohort of the Diploma in Educational Micro Robotics, related to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Domotics, contextualizing other areas of knowledge.
Abstract: The ROBO-TIC 1.0 project, awarded in the XI Call for Aid for Cooperation Projects of the UC3M, executed by the Research and Technological Development Unit (UIDT) of the UNAN-Managua FAREM-Carazo together with the e-cud group, promoting Educational Micro Robotics (MRE) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), as disciplines that enhance educational processes: The first cohort of the Diploma in Educational Micro Robotics, related to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Domotics, contextualizing other areas of knowledge. Synergy was established with themes developed in parallel with cooperation projects, Inclusive Education from a Socio-Educational Intervention approach and that, through MRE and other ICTs, serve vulnerable sectors and groups at risk of social exclusion.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study the safety and productivity of power supply in the electrical system of Nicaragua in the period from 2010 to 2018 using the Stirling pointer, reserve margin, loss indicator largest generator, the market concentration indicator and methodological data envelopment analysis tool (DEA) and Malmquist indices.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to study the safety and productivity of power supply in the electrical system of Nicaragua in the period from 2010 to 2018 using the Stirling pointer, reserve margin, loss indicator largest generator, the market concentration indicator and methodological data envelopment analysis tool (DEA) and Malmquist indices. The behavior of the energy sector in Nicaragua, in the period studied 2005 - 2013. As result, an indicator from Stirling index ware obtained, right now Nicaragua has security in the electrical system. The reserve margin indicator was obtained as a result, of the safety level from the point of evaluation of this indicator the system has enough security to avoid incurring damages to final consumers, as a result of the loss of the largest generator indicator (LU), concludes that it has a secure system. Moreover, the rate of market concentration showed that Nicaragua does not have a competitive energy market. In assessing productivity use of energy resources, it ware found that, only the use of biomass has an average annual rate of productivity growth.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an analisis of algunos algoritmos de Conglomerados aplicados in areas especificas of the Bioinformatica, the Proteomica, desde el punto de vista of alineamiento and comparacion de secuencias de proteinas.

TL;DR: In this article, secondary analysis has been carried out in combination with nuclear techniques to determine if sediment cores are datable in the Bluefields Lagoon, and the secondary analysis of loss on ignition and percentage of humidity in sediment cores of two points in the Lagoon were employed.
Abstract: Bluefields lagoon is a shallow aquatic ecosystem and historically influenced by human activities. These particular conditions could cause limitations in dating the sediments with nuclear techniques. Secondary analysis has been carried out in combination with nuclear techniques to determine if sediment cores are datable in the Bluefields Lagoon. The secondary analysis of Loss on Ignition and percentage of humidity in sediment cores of two points in the Lagoon were employed. According to the analysis of humidity and dating with Pb-210, only one of the two sediment cores presented some characteristics of dating.
