TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the availability and adaptability of water resources in the Aguas Calientes sub-watershed (Somoto-San Lucas) department of Madriz.
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to study the availability and adaptability of water resources in the Aguas Calientes sub- watershed (Somoto – San Lucas) department of Madriz. The methodology used was a documentary literature review, with data collection in electronic databases such as: E-libro, proquest and CNU repository, based on the model of adaptive co-management of watershed. Adaptation strategies included forest recovery, application of technology for rainwater harvesting and storage, protection of water source and producer associations as a micro-enterprise. The results of the studies indicate strategies and technologies applied by agricultural producer to adapt to climate variability and drought. On the other hand, it considers the adoption of the watershed approach as a planning tool for municipal government, which is of strategy importance due to the integration of the environment variables, mainly in terms of techniques to favor soils and water conservation. A change in the management of the sub-watershed is proposed, such as: diversification, financial feasibility of two crops adapted to drought and produced in the sub- watershed as henequen and pitahaya.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a method to determine the productividades marginales del trabajo and del capital, which result in the nivel de aprovechamiento optimo de the factores de produccion, and their remuneración adecuada.

TL;DR: In this paper, a group of researchers from the Medical Optometry Career at UNAN-Managua were requested to verify the effectiveness of the computerized test and its response against the gold standard, in order to explore the possibility of implementing it in the Optometry Clinic that provides services within the School of Medicine.
Abstract: As a part of the optometric care, visual test are applied to evaluate the sensitivity to colors, the purpose of which was to detect abnormalities in the perception of colors and the diagnosis of color anomalies One of the tests mostly used in clinic is the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Manual Test, and is known as the gold standard since the 1950s The Colblindor website, in 2006, proposed the computerized version of this same test, which tends to be cheaper and faster than the manual test, and would be an advantage in the primary analysis of color perception In consideration of this, the group of researchers from the Medical Optometry Career at UNAN-Managua, were requested to verify the effectiveness of the computerized test and its response against the gold standard, in order to explore the possibility of implementing it in the Optometry Clinic that provides services within the School of Medicine To substantiate this objective, the two versions of the test were carried out to 105 students To fulfill the goals, an observational, descriptive, correlational, quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to guarantee the homogeneity of the sample Once the results were obtained and analyzed, it evidenced that the manual computerized test cannot be replaced by the computerized version as a test of chromatic perception analysis Key words : color perception, color, colour anomalies, test

TL;DR: This study was conducted in the Marine and Aquaculture Research Laboratory (LIMA) facilities of the UNAN-Leon, with the intention of comparing two different farming systems (monoculture and polyculture), which would allow to evaluate the filtration capacity of sea cucumber.
Abstract: Aquaculture can be defined as an action or alternative commercial item, in terms of raising hydrobiological resources, similarly called fish, crustaceans, molluscs and aquatic vegetation, in environments totally discordant in relation to natural ones, where the variables physical and chemical can be relatively controllable, with the aim of replacing and improving the conditions by which these organisms can meet their needs as if they were in particularly normal environments. Worldwide aquaculture is one of the activities with the greatest use of water resources, in which it is necessary to bet on the implementation of systems that suppose water savings. This study was conducted in the Marine and Aquaculture Research Laboratory (LIMA) facilities of the UNAN-Leon, with the intention of comparing two different farming systems (monoculture and polyculture), which would allow to evaluate the filtration capacity of sea cucumber. (Isostichopus fuscus) on the organic matter produced in gray tilapia cultures (Oreochromis niloticus), obtaining as a result of the research 453.0 mg / L02 of organic matter, 0.32 mg / Lt of suspended matter, 6.29 mgNH3-N / L (Nitrogen Ammoniacal), 43.35 mg N02 -IL (Nitrite) and 18.4 mg N03 / L (Nitrate) for the polyculture system; On the other hand, data were obtained of 512 mg / L02 of organic matter, 4.48 mg / Lt of suspended matter, 17.02 mgNH3-N / L, 26.90 mg N02 -IL, 33.87 mg NO3 / L for the monoculture system, denoting the effectiveness of sea cucumber (Isostichopus fuscus) on the object of study.

TL;DR: In this article , a simplified process for building and assessing the quality of healthcare-related research questions is described, where the structure of research questions starts with interrogative adverbs (e.g., what and when), auxiliary verbs (e] is there and are there), or other auxiliaries (e) do, does, and did); followed by nouns nominalized from verbs of research objectives, such as association, correlation, influence, causation, prediction, application; research variables, and units of analysis.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to describe a simplified process for building and assessing the quality of healthcare-related research questions. This process consisted of three stages. The first stage aimed to select and explore a field of science. This field would be the area for which to identify outputs, such as units of analysis, variables, and objectives. The second stage aimed to write structured research questions, taking into account the outputs of the first stage. In general, the structure of research questions starts with interrogative adverbs (e.g., what and when), auxiliary verbs (e.g., is there and are there), or other auxiliaries (e.g., do, does, and did); followed by nouns nominalized from verbs of research objectives, such as association, correlation, influence, causation, prediction, application; research variables (e.g., risk factors, efficiency, effectiveness, and safety); and units of analysis (e.g., patients with hypertension and general hospitals). The third stage aimed to assess the quality and feasibility of the research questions against a set of criteria such as relevance, originality, generalizability, measurability, communicability, availability of resources, and ethical issues. By following the proposed simplified process, novice researchers may learn how to write structured research questions of sound scientific value.
