Abstract: 人工筋素材としての観点から両性イオン型ポリビニルアルコール (PVA) ハイドロゲルの化学機械エネルギー変換性能の向上を図るため, 平衡膨潤特性, 受動的な力学的特性, 材料の異方性の収縮特性への影響, 収縮のダイナミクスについて, 素材合成条件との関連を明かにし, 性能向上のための指針をまとめた. それに従って作製した素材の出力密度は, 最大で骨格筋の出力密度に近い0.1W/cm3を実現することができた. ゲルの内部構造をクライオSEMにより調べた結果はこの材料のいっそうの性能向上を約束するものであった.

Abstract: A lithographic technique for Josephson LSI (large scale integrated) circuits was applied to the production of a superconducting tunnel junction for radiation detection. Nb-Al/aluminum oxide/Nb tunnel junctions with different junction sizes and barrier oxidation times have been fabricated. The current-voltage curves were measured in the temperature range from 4.2 to 0.45 K. The junctions showed some amounts of leakage current, which remained below 2 K. The behavior of the leakage current was successfully understood from its experimental dependence on the junction size. >

Abstract: Thermal and ion beam induced reactions in Ni thin films on BP(100) have been investigated. For thermally annealed samples the reaction of the Ni layer on BP started at temperatures between 350 and 400 °C and the formation of the crystalline phase corresponding to a composition of Ni4BP was observed at 450 °C. It was observed that oxygen in the Ni layer could retard the progress of the reaction. The full reaction of the Ni layer with BP induced by energetic heavy ion bombardments (600 keV Xe) was observed at 230 °C. The crystalline phase has the same composition and x‐ray diffraction pattern for both thermal and ion‐induced reactions.

Abstract: Methods for measuring the critical properties such as critical temperature and critical current were investigated and studied by round robin tests. The investigation was carried out in five steps: (1) decision on the specifications of common samples and measuring methods; (2) preparation and characterization of common samples; (3) distribution of samples to ten member research organizations; (4) experimental measurement at the respective research organizations; and (5) analysis of measurement results. The measurement of critical temperature and critical current were made mainly by the four-probe methods and partially by the magnetization method. The results were found to disperse, depending on the measurement methods and definitions of T/sub c/ and I/sub c/. >

Abstract: This paper presents a new onboard locating system of an autonomous vehicle using signposts put along routes. The locating system estimates location and direction of the vehicle on the basis of the observa- tion of signposts and revolution counts of main wheels. The Kalman filter is employed to estimate the loca- tion and direction of the vehicle on real time base, and smooth and accurate estimation is realized. The ex- perimental result shows that the accurate location and direction of the vehicle is obtained through the system.

Abstract: The nonresonant multiphoton ionization of rare gases has been studied by means of XeCl, KrF and ArF excimer lasers. In the course of this study, it was observed that in the cases of the XeCl and KrF lasers, the ionization intensities of Xe gas were stronger than those of Kr gas, but in the case of the ArF laser, the former was weaker than the latter. This result is interpreted as an effect of laser wavelength.

Abstract: The anisotropy of the upper critical field H c2 has been measured at ambient pressure on a layered organic superconductor β-(BEDT-TTF) 2 I 3 both in the states before and after annealing at 109 K for 120 hours. By annealing, the critical temperature T c increases from 1.4 to 2.08 K, while the H c2⊥plane increases and the anisotropy, H c2//plane / H c2⊥plane , decreases. The angular dependences of H c2 for both states are explained in terms of the effective mass model. It is clarified that the enhanced T c which is ascribed to the annealing-induced configurational orderings of ethylene groups is closely related to the enhanced effective mass in the basal plane.

Abstract: A new method is presented to improve piezoelectric photoacoustic imaging. This technique uses two images at different modulation frequencies to cancel the background caused by the coupling condition and the spatially nonuniform sensitivity of the piezoelectric sensor. It is found that the image of an object with sub-surface defects obtained by this technique is much clearer than a conventional image. The obtained photoacoustic image is compared with the ultrasonic image.

Abstract: 緑藻 Dunaliella sp.の有するヒ素生体蓄積を利用した効率的なヒ素の回収技術を開発するため, ヒ素(V)10mg・l-1を含む人工溶液を対象として, Dunaliella sp. のヒ素蓄積におよぼす環境因子 (pH温度, 塩分, 照度) の影響を調べ, ヒ素蓄積のための最適条件を明らかにした。その結果, それぞれの環境因子において, pH; 8~9, 温度;約20℃, 塩分;約20g NaCl・l-1, 照度;4000lux のそれぞれの条件下で, Decnaliella sp. はヒ素取り込み速度が大きく, もっとも多量のヒ素を細胞中に蓄積することがわかった。したがって, Dunaliella sp. のヒ素蓄積は細胞内の光合成作用に関係している環境条件にいちじるしく影響を受ける。

Abstract: 水酸化ナトリウム-硝酸ナトリウム系, 水酸化ナトリウム-亜硝酸ナトリウム系の溶融塩は, 200~300℃ で最も有望な潜熱蓄熱材料であるが, これを蓄熱材料として用いる上で解決すべき課題の一つは, 蓄熱器構造材料との共存性である.本報では, まず10種類の金属材料と溶融塩との共存性について, 試験片を用いた浸漬試験による実験的な検討, さらに炭素鋼に的を絞って行った, 溶融塩の純度による共存性への影響に関する実験結果について報告を行う.本研究の結果では, 炭素鋼が最もよい共存性を示し, 蓄熱器構造材料としての利用の可能性が確認できた.また, 溶融塩の不純物の影響としては, 特に水酸化ナトリウム中の塩化ナトリウムの影響が重要であることを示した.

Abstract: In our research and development of oxide superconducting materials, methods for measuring the critical properties such as critical temperature and critical current were investigated and studied by way of round robin tests. The measurement of critical temperature and critical current were made mainly using the 4 terminal method, and partially the magnetization method. The results were found to disperse, depending on the measurement methods and definitions of Tc and Ic. Data analysis with these factors clarified is important.
