TL;DR: In this article, the nuclear quadrupole resonance of chlorine in the alkali and alkaline earth chlorates was measured at various temperatures and it was qualitatively shown that this is due to related changes of lattice dimensions rather than to electronegativity differences of the cations.

TL;DR: In this article, the quadrupole frequencies of the chlorine nuclei in two isomorphous chlorates were used for the estimation of the corresponding electric field gradients at the chlorine nucleus site in the free chlorate ion.

TL;DR: In this paper, the voltametric behavior of solutions of γ-irradiated alkali halides was studied and the existence of hydrated electrons was identified and the phenomenon of aquoluminescence was observed.

TL;DR: In this article, a cylindrical hole in a conducting material between two parallel planes is considered, and the distribution of the proximity effect is determined analytically by solving the differential equation for penetration of currents and appropriately applying boundary conditions.
Abstract: Axial currents of power frequency flowing in filaments of infinite length parallel to a cylindrical shell of finite length and of one cylindrical boundary give rise to eddy currents in the conducting material of the shell due to proximity effect. The shell considered, consists of a cylindrical hole in a conducting material between two parallel planes. The current filament is placed inside the hole at an arbitrary but known position. The distribution of the proximity effect is determined analytically by solving the differential equation for penetration of currents and appropriately applying boundary conditions. The loss is also determined. The material of the shell is considered to be non- magnetic.
