TL;DR: In this paper, a paraphrase model of a question text inputted by a user is learned, and paraphrase expression is generated in real time using a model learning unit and a text pair extracting unit.
Abstract: A paraphrase model of a question text inputted by a user is learned, and a paraphrase expression is generated in real time. When information in text set storage unit is updated, text pair extracting unit extracts a paraphrase text pair from the text set storage unit and stores it in text pair storage unit. Model learning unit learns a question text paraphrase model from the paraphrase text pair in text pair storage unit, and stores it in model storage unit. Text pair extracting unit extracts a paraphrase text pair again from the text set storage unit by using the question text paraphrase model which the model storage unit possesses, and stores it in the text pair storage unit. In case where the stored paraphrase text pair is the same as the paraphrase text pair stored in the text pair storage unit, learning of the question text paraphrase model is ended. Candidate creating unit reads the question text paraphrase model from the model storage unit and generates a paraphrase candidate of the inputted question text.

TL;DR: The notion of bookmark management is extended by introducing the functionalities of hypermedia databases, and PowerBookmarks supports advanced query, classification, and navigation functionalities on collections of bookmarks.
Abstract: We extend the notion of bookmark management by introducing the functionalities of hypermedia databases. PowerBookmarks is a Web information organization, sharing, and management tool, which parses metadata from bookmarked URLs and uses it to index and classify the URLs. PowerBookmarks supports advanced query, classification, and navigation functionalities on collections of bookmarks. PowerBookmarks monitors and utilizes users' access patterns to provide many useful personalized services, such as automated URL bookmarking, document refreshing, and bookmark expiration. It also allows users to specify their preference in bookmark management, such as ranking schemes and classification tree structures. Subscription services for new or updated documents of users' interests are also supported.

TL;DR: In this article, a first connection is established over a wireless link between a terminal and a router, and a second connection between the router and a server over a landline network, where the communication protocol data necessary for communication control with the server is transferred from the terminal to the router.
Abstract: In a data communication network, a first connection is established over a wireless link between a terminal and a router and a second connection is established between the router and a server over a land-line network. Communication protocol data necessary for communication control with the server is transferred from the terminal to the router. A data signal from the terminal is received at the router and converted into a packet according to communication protocol defined by the transferred protocol data between the router and the server and then transmitted to the server. A data signal from the server is received at the router and converted into a packet according to communication protocol defined by the transferred protocol data between the router and the terminal and then transmitted to the terminal.

TL;DR: In this article, an open flow controller (3) and a switch (4i) are used to control the network side and the computer side in an integrated manner while migrating the virtual machine.
Abstract: A computer system is provided with an open flow controller (3) and a switch (4i). The switch (4i), if the packet data from a virtual machine that has completed migration do not comply with the rules indicated by a flow set for the switch (4i), notifies the open flow controller (3) of the MAC addresses of the packet data. The open flow controller (3) sets the migration destination VM-addressed communication-use flow that has been generated according to the notified MAC addresses to the switch (4i). The switch (4i) transfers the packet data that have been addressed to the virtual machine that follows the rules (444) that have been indicated in the migration destination VM-addressed communication-use flow to the virtual machine of the migration destination according to the actions (445) that have been indicated in the migration destination VM-addressed communication-use flow. As a result, controlling the network side and the computer side in an integrated manner while migrating the virtual machine is possible.

TL;DR: The Group III-V compound semiconductor (GIII-V) method as discussed by the authors is a semiconductor manufacturing method employing epitaxy which comprises (a) a step in which growing areas are produced using a mask patterned on a substrate surface and (b) a layer is grown in the growing areas while forming facet structures.
Abstract: The Group III-V compound semiconductor manufacturing method which pertains to the present invention is a semiconductor manufacturing method employing epitaxy which comprises (a) a step in which growing areas are produced using a mask patterned on a substrate surface and (b) a step in which a Group III-V compound semiconductor layer is grown in the growing areas while forming facet structures. As epitaxy is continued, adjacent facet structures come into contact so that the surface of the semiconductor layer becomes planarized. Since lattice defects extend towards the facet structures, they do not extend towards the surface of the semiconductor layer. Accordingly, the number of lattice defects in the vicinity of the semiconductor layer surface is reduced.
