TL;DR: A nonvolatile semiconductor memory cell comprises a diffused layer or silicide layer formed in a surface of semiconductor substrate within an opening of an insulating layer formed on the semiconductor substrategies as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A non-volatile semiconductor memory cell comprises a diffused layer or silicide layer formed in a surface of semiconductor substrate within an opening of an insulating layer formed on the semiconductor substrate, a first floating gate electrode formed on a first gate insulator film formed on the diffused or silicide layer within the opening of the insulating layer, and a semiconductor thin film formed to cover a second gate insulator film formed on the first floating gate electrode. The semiconductor thin film includes a channel region positioned above the first floating gate electrode and a pair of source/drain regions separated from each other by the channel region. The memory cell also includes a second floating gate electrode formed on a third gate insulator film formed on the semiconductor thin film, and a second control gate electrode formed on a fourth gate insulator film formed on the second floating gate electrode. Thus, a first floating gate transistor is formed of the channel region, the pair of source/drain regions, the first floating gate electrode and the first control electrode, and a second floating gate transistor is formed of the channel region, the pair of source/drain regions, the second floating gate electrode and the second control gate electrode, whereby one memory cell is constituted of the first and second floating gate transistors to be able to store multi-value information to elevate an integration density per bit.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a node capable of preventing the problems caused by switching between traffic communication paths when a link failure occurs, where the node transmits frames which have been transmitted from a physical port connected to the link, from the virtual port including the physical port, among the virtual ports belonging to virtual port VP 3 allocated to the virtual LAG group.
Abstract: The present invention provides a node capable of preventing the problems caused by switching between traffic communication paths when a link failure occurs. According to an embodiment of the invention, among ports of a node 10 , ports P 1 and P 2 connected to a link between the node 10 and a node 20 are registered in a virtual port VP 1 , and ports P 3 and P 4 connected to a link between the node 10 and the node 30 are registered in a virtual port VP 2 . The virtual ports VP 1 and VP 2 are registered in a virtual port VP 3 allocated to a virtual LAG group. When one link between the node 10 and the node 20 is disconnected, the node 10 transmits frames, which have been transmitted from a physical port connected to the link, from the virtual port including the physical port, among the virtual ports belonging to the virtual port VP 3 allocated to the virtual LAG group.

TL;DR: In this article, spherical carbon nanobeads of two sizes of around 500-850 nm (large) and 250 nm (small) were synthesized by pyrolysing camphor vapour at 1000 °C in an argon atmosphere, using ferrocene, as catalyst, for the first time.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for distributing service requests to a plurality of servers without any need for preparing a special measure in the clients or performing session management is disclosed, where the address groups of the clients are classified in advance into a plurality and each of the plurality of address groups is correlated with one of the servers.
Abstract: A method for distributing service requests to a plurality of servers without any need for preparing a special measure in the clients or performing session management is disclosed. Addresses of a plurality of clients are classified in advance into a plurality of address groups. Each of the plurality of address groups is correlated with one of a plurality of servers. A service request of a client is distributed to a corresponding server depending on which address group the client belongs to.

TL;DR: In this paper, the first surface-emitting laser operation in a vertical-to-surface transmission electrophotonic device with a vertical cavity was demonstrated, and the threshold current during the on state was as low as 1.2 mA.
Abstract: We demonstrate the first surface‐emitting laser operation in a vertical‐to‐surface transmission electrophotonic device with a vertical cavity. The thyristor‐like current‐voltage characteristics, which are required for optical and electrical switching, are achieved. Threshold current during the on state is as low as 1.2 mA. All 100 devices, which were randomly extracted from a grown wafer, emit laser light.
