25 Jan 2006TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus for segmenting an audio interaction, by locating anchor segment from each side of the interaction, iteratively classifying additional segments into one of the two sides, and scoring the resulting segmentation, if the score result is below a threshold, the process is repeated until the segmentation score is satisfactory or until a stopping criterion is met.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for segmenting an audio interaction, by locating anchor segment from each side of the interaction, iteratively classifying additional segments into one of the two sides, and scoring the resulting segmentation, If the score result is below a threshold, the process is repeated until the segmentation score is satisfactory or until a stopping criterion is met. The anchoring and the scoring steps comprise using additional data associated with the interaction, a speaker thereof, internal or external information related to the interaction or to a speaker thereof or the like.

10 Jun 2010TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system for indicating in real-time that an interaction is associated with a problem or issue is presented, comprising of receiving a segment of an interaction in which a representative of the organization participated, extracting a feature from the segment, extracting global feature associated with the interaction, aggregating the feature and the global feature, and classifying the segment or the interaction in association with the problem or issues by applying a model to the feature.
Abstract: A method and system for indicating in real time that an interaction is associated with a problem or issue, comprising: receiving a segment of an interaction in which a representative of the organization participates; extracting a feature from the segment; extracting a global feature associated with the interaction; aggregating the feature and the global feature; and classifying the segment or the interaction in association with the problem or issue by applying a model to the feature and the global feature The method and system may also use features extracted from earlier segments within the interaction The method and system can also evaluate the model based on features extracted from training interactions and manual tagging assigned to the interactions or segments thereof

24 Jul 1997TL;DR: In this paper, a passive long term facsimile transmission storage and retrieval system, which includes a Facsimile logger passively or actively coupled to at least one telephone line connected to a fax machine, is provided.
Abstract: A passive long term facsimile transmission storage and retrieval system, which includes a facsimile logger passively or actively coupled to at least one telephone line connected to a facsimile machine is provided. The facsimile logger acquires and stores the facsimile transmissions that occur on the telephone line, on long term archive media. The system also includes a database coupled to the facsimile logger and at least one workstation coupled to the facsimile logger. The database holds relevant data associated with the stored facsimile transmission. The workstation is able to search for and retrieve the facsimile transmissions previously stored by the facsimile logger on the long term archive media. The fax logger also includes the capability for a user to enter a series of numbers that provide information concerning the identity of the operator, the account number for billing purposes and any subaddressing related data. The series of numbers are entered on the keypad of the fax machine. The fax logger also includes a fax line monitor for checking for and reporting any malfunctions found in either the line or the fax machine itself.
