TL;DR: In this article, a hierarchical relationship between the entities allows the definition of an editorial sequence and separate revisions within that sequence as well as relationships between sequences in a self-contained format.
Abstract: The present invention is related to method and apparatus for versioning. Versioning information is stored as metadata associated with data entities. A hierarchical relationship between the entities allows the definition of an editorial sequence and separate revisions within that sequence as well as relationships between sequences in a self-contained format.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a dual antenna arrangement for use in a portable cellular radio telephone, where an elongate antenna element is mounted in a support and movable between a retracted position and an extended position.
Abstract: An antenna assembly comprises an elongate antenna element (11) mounted in a support (5) and movable between a retracted position (see FIG. 2) and an extended position (see FIG. 1). A helical antenna element (12) is carried at one end of the elongate element. The support (5) comprises a pair of concentric conductors (9,10) which provide a coaxial feed to the antenna elements (11, 12). Suitably the support (5) comprises a dielectric tube (6) having respective conductive portions (9,10) provided on the inner and outer faces thereof. The elongate antenna element is slidably mounted within the central conductor (9). In the retracted position both ends of the elongate antenna element are electrically connected to the central conductor (9). The elongate antenna element is thus rendered inactive as a radiating element and essentially becomes part of the central coaxial feed coupled directly to the helical antenna element. The invention provides a compact and convenient dual antenna arrangement ideally suited for use in a portable cellular radio telephone.

TL;DR: In this article, a system and method for reducing data loss in wireless networks resulting from corruption of one or more wireless links or resulting from failure of an intermediate connecting node is described.
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for reducing data loss in wireless networks resulting from corruption of one or more wireless links or resulting from failure of an intermediate connecting node. The wireless network, which includes at least one intermediate node (15) having an internal buffer (71) for continually buffering data passing from source node (11) to destination node (21), establishes an alternate path bypassing the failed node. Lost data packets are locally retransmitted in response to receipt of an error message indicating node failure, or in response to a retransmit request resulting from data corruption over a wireless link. Intermediate nodes lacking such internal buffering serve to relay requests and messages upstream to nodes with internal buffering.

TL;DR: In this article, the transport of photogenerated electrons in nanoporous TiO2 electrodes was examined in a lithium perchlorate electrolyte solution by laser-induced photocurrent transient measurements.
Abstract: The transport of photogenerated electrons in nanoporous TiO2 electrodes is examined in a lithium perchlorate electrolyte solution by laser-induced photocurrent transient measurements. The diffusion coefficients of the photoelectrons are found to depend not only on electron density but also on the lithium ion concentration in the solution. The behavior of diffusion coefficients depending on lithium ion concentration is interpreted with an ambipolar diffusion mechanism. Diffusion coefficients at a high photoelectron density were observed to level off at a low lithium ion concentration, which is attributed to the effect of an ambipolar diffusion mechanism.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a system and method for providing a connection in a communication network which comprises several network elements and is adapted to route a connection via a first network element such as a radio network controller and one or more of alternatively selectable second network elements such as serving nodes.
Abstract: The invention proposes a system and method for providing a connection in a communication network which comprises several network elements and is adapted to route a connection via a first network element such as a radio network controller and one or more of alternatively selectable second network elements such as serving nodes. The network comprises a network element which stores a list of selectable second network elements. The list is accessed using an identifier identifying a routing or location area or a desired second network element. The list can be stored in a DNS server which returns to an inquiring network element such as a radio network controller, e.g. IP addresses of serving nodes capable of serving a routing or location area of a connection originating or terminating network element. The connection originating or terminating network element may also be adapted to send an identifier identifying a specific network element such as an SGSN to which it desires to be connected.
