TL;DR: In this paper, a handover request message is sent to a target base station, including a common identifier for a D2D pair and a proposed allocation of radio resources for the device-to-device pair.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for D2D handovers. The method may include sending to a target base station a handover request message including a proposed common identifier for a device-to-device pair and a proposed allocation of radio resources for the device-to-device pair; receiving, from the target base station in response to the handover request message, a handover request reply message including a confirmation of the proposed allocation and of the proposed common identifier; sending to a first device of the device-to-device pair a handover command including the proposed allocation and the proposed common identifier; receiving, from a second device of the device-to-device pair, a measurement report representative of the target base station; and determining whether to initiate a handover of the second device to the target base station, wherein when the handover is initiated, the first device of the device-to-device pair and the second device of the device-to-device pair are handed over to the target base station. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for detecting a touch interaction with a touch screen display is described, which may include sliding an input object along a path from a point of origin outside of an active region of the touch screen to a point within the active region.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for facilitating interaction with touch screen apparatuses. A method may include detecting a touch interaction with a touch screen display. The method may further include identifying the touch interaction as comprising a trigger touch interaction. The trigger touch interaction may include sliding an input object along a path from a point of origin outside of an active region of the touch screen display to a point within the active region. The method may further include determining, based at least in part upon the trigger touch interaction, a function associated with the trigger touch interaction. The method may additionally include executing the determined function. Corresponding apparatuses are also provided.

TL;DR: In this article, the data to be transmitted is selected and packetized and formed into frames (820) for transmission, rather than sending each frame (821, 822, 823) individually, frames are grouped and transmitted with grouping indicia informing the recipients how to acknowledge successful receipt of transmitted data.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for aggregating packets in a wireless communication system (Fig. 8). The data to be transmitted is selected and packetized and formed into frames (820) for transmission. Rather than send each frame (821, 822, 823) individually, frames are grouped and transmitted with grouping indicia informing the recipients how to acknowledge successful receipt of the transmitted data. ACKs (830, 840, 850) are sent at a predetermined time, or all together, divided by subcarrier in the case of an OFDMA network.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for starting a short message transmission in cellular radio networks, a corresponding cellular radio network, and a subscriber register for a cellular radio system, is described. But the method is not applicable to the case of short message service centers.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for starting a short message transmission in a cellular radio network, a corresponding cellular radio network, and a subscriber register for a cellular radio network, said subscriber register (10) comprising means (1) for sending a short message transmission start message to at least one short message service centre (SC1, SC2, SC3). For delaying start messages for short message transmission for a given subscriber, the subscriber register comprises a memory (8), control means (4), transmitter means (5, 6, 7) responsive to said control means (4) for sending start messages for short message transmission for a given subscriber to different short message service centres (SC1, SC2, SC3) after delays of variable duration, and a delaying means (9) responsive to the transmitter means (5, 6, 7), generating a variable delay for delaying sending of start messages for short message transmission for a given subscriber (MS) by the transmitter means (5, 6, 7) with a desired period of time.

TL;DR: In this article, a text keyboard is provided for use with an electronic device, mounted on a surface on the body of the device and a panel slides over said recessed surface and the panel is constructed with a display screen for observation of the user.
Abstract: A text keyboard is provided for use with an electronic device. The keyboard in mounted on a surface on the body of the device. A panel slides over said recessed surface and the panel is constructed with a display screen for observation of the user. The panel is moved to an extended position in which the keyboard is exposed.
