TL;DR: A convertible mobile computing device has a display screen and cover supported at three points for stable movement between a closed position, a laptop PC operational position, and a tablet PC operating position.
Abstract: A convertible mobile computing device has a display screen and cover supported at three points for stable movement between a closed position, a laptop PC operational position and a tablet PC operational position. A web hinge assembly pivotally couples along a folding axis on the cover side of the display screen and to the rear marginal edge of the base unit with which the display screen cooperates. The cover further includes means for pivotal and slideable engagement with guides at either side of the base unit wherein the lower portion of the display screen travels forward into a tablet operational position with the display screen facing substantially upward in a flat orientation for writing and viewing. The web hinge assembly nests within a recess portion of the cover and the base unit when the device is in the tablet operational position wherein the cover is in face-to-face relation with a keyboard carried on the base unit operational surface and when in the closed position wherein the display screen is in face-to-face relation with the keyboard to provide a slender profile.

TL;DR: In this article, an arrangement and a method is provided for discovering candidate access routers in a mobile IP (Internet Protocol) network to enable seamless IP handover of a mobile node between access routers.
Abstract: An arrangement and a method is provided for discovering candidate access routers in a mobile IP (Internet Protocol) network to enable seamless IP handover of a mobile node between access routers. A server element (19), which is separate from the access routers (11, 12) and the mobile node (MN), is provided with access router information relating to one or more access routers and with information identifying the access router serving the mobile node and reachability information about one or more access routers other than the serving access router that are within reach to the mobile node. The address of at least one of said one or more access routers within reach to the mobile node is determined in the server element on the basis of the provided information.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a typology of stakeholder participation for companies, with particular relevance to environmental issues, and outline the needs and problems associated with developing a method of participation for use in company decision-making.
Abstract: Companies now recognise the need to identify and address the concerns of their stakeholders to ensure their decisions and business activities are more socially acceptable. However, despite stakeholder participation being widely accepted in the public sector and used to a limited extent within some business management processes, there is no accepted understanding of what stakeholder participation actually constitutes and certainly no systematic method for its application within companies and company decision-making. In order to support the development of such a method, stakeholder participation must first be defined in the ‘company’ context. Drawing from previous typologies of participation outlined in the literature, particularly relating to the public sector, this paper proposes a typology of stakeholder participation for companies, with particular relevance to environmental issues. It also outlines the needs and problems associated with developing a method of stakeholder participation for use in company decision-making. TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method, apparatus and software product for enhancing a dynamic range of an image with a multi-exposure pixel pattern taken by an image sensor of a camera for one or more color channels, wherein a plurality of groups of pixels of the image sensor have different exposure times.
Abstract: The specification and drawings present a new method, apparatus and software product for enhancing a dynamic range of an image with a multi-exposure pixel pattern taken by an image sensor of a camera for one or more color channels, wherein a plurality of groups of pixels of the image sensor have different exposure times (e.g., pre-selected or adjusted by a user through a user interface using a viewfinder feedback, or adjusted by a user through a user interface after taking and storing RAW image, etc.). Processing of the captured image for constructing an enhanced image of the image for each of the one or more color channels can be performed using weighted combination of exposure times of pixels having different pre-selected exposure times according to a predetermined criterion.
