TL;DR: The proposed design methods not only suit for a standard form of the fuzzy filter but also give more relaxed design conditions, which guarantees a prescribed H∞ performance of the filtering error system.
Abstract: This paper is concerned with the problem of nonfragile H∞ filtering for continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems. The filter to be designed is assumed to have two types of multiplicative gain variations. First, two relaxed H∞ filtering analysis conditions are proposed based on useful linear matrix inequality preliminaries. Whereafter, the results are exploited to derive sufficient conditions for designing a nonfragile H∞ filter, which guarantees a prescribed H∞ performance of the filtering error system. Compared with the existing results, the proposed design methods not only suit for a standard form of the fuzzy filter but also give more relaxed design conditions. Finally, simulation examples will be given to show the efficiency of the proposed design methods.

TL;DR: The authors incorporate a mixed ion-electron semiconductor into another semiconductor to form a p-n junction to suppress electron conduction and enhance ion conduction, leading to a low-temperature electrolyte.
Abstract: Interest in low-temperature operation of solid oxide fuel cells is growing. Recent advances in perovskite phases have resulted in an efficient H+/O2-/e- triple-conducting electrode BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3-δ for low-temperature fuel cells. Here, we further develop BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3-δ for electrolyte applications by taking advantage of its high ionic conduction while suppressing its electronic conduction through constructing a BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3-δ-ZnO p-n heterostructure. With this approach, it has been demonstrated that BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3-δ can be applied in a fuel cell with good electrolyte functionality, achieving attractive ionic conductivity and cell performance. Further investigation confirms the hybrid H+/O2- conducting capability of BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3-δ-ZnO. An energy band alignment mechanism based on a p-n heterojunction is proposed to explain the suppression of electronic conductivity and promotion of ionic conductivity in the heterostructure. Our findings demonstrate that BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3-δ is not only a good electrode but also a highly promising electrolyte. The approach reveals insight for developing advanced low-temperature solid oxide fuel cell electrolytes.

TL;DR: TrustSVD builds on top of a state-of-the-art recommendation algorithm, SVD++, by further incorporating both the explicit and implicit influence of trusted and trusting users on the prediction of items for an active user.
Abstract: We propose TrustSVD, a trust-based matrix factorization technique for recommendations. TrustSVD integrates multiple information sources into the recommendation model in order to reduce the data sparsity and cold start problems and their degradation of recommendation performance. An analysis of social trust data from four real-world data sets suggests that not only the explicit but also the implicit influence of both ratings and trust should be taken into consideration in a recommendation model. TrustSVD therefore builds on top of a state-of-the-art recommendation algorithm, SVD++ (which uses the explicit and implicit influence of rated items), by further incorporating both the explicit and implicit influence of trusted and trusting users on the prediction of items for an active user. The proposed technique is the first to extend SVD++ with social trust information. Experimental results on the four data sets demonstrate that TrustSVD achieves better accuracy than other ten counterparts recommendation techniques.

03 Jun 2020TL;DR: The recent progress in porous 2D materials in photocatalysis and electrocatalysis is reviewed in this paper, where the authors highlight the influence of their special structural merits on the processes of both 2D and porous materials, including transport of ion and/or charge carriers, surface active sites, stability, modifications, electronic band structure and light absorption properties.
Abstract: Summary Two-dimensional materials with abundant in-plane pores (porous 2D materials) have shown high performances as catalysts, especially for photocatalysis and electrocatalysis, owing to their distinct microstructural advantages originating from both 2D materials and porous materials. Here, the recent progress in porous 2D materials in photocatalysis and electrocatalysis is reviewed. We first highlight the influence of their special structural merits on the processes of photocatalysis and electrocatalysis, including transport of ion and/or charge carriers, surface active sites, stability, modifications, electronic band structure, and light absorption properties. Representative synthetic methods for porous 2D materials are also introduced classified by top-down and bottom-up routes. In addition, their applications in different aspects of photocatalysis and electrocatalysis are presented systematically. In conclusion, we propose some opportunities and challenges for the development of porous 2D materials, with the hope of further facilitating the applications of these emerging advanced materials in photocatalysis and electrolysis.

TL;DR: The magnetic Ag3PO4/TiO2/Fe3O4 heterostructured nanocomposite was synthesized and was found to exhibit markedly enhanced photocatalytic activity, cycling stability, and long-term durability in the photodegradation of acid orange 7 (AO7) under visible light.
Abstract: Silver orthophosphate (Ag3PO4) is a low-band-gap photocatalyst that has received considerable research interest in recent years. In this work, the magnetic Ag3PO4/TiO2/Fe3O4 heterostructured nanocomposite was synthesized. The nanocomposite was found to exhibit markedly enhanced photocatalytic activity, cycling stability, and long-term durability in the photodegradation of acid orange 7 (AO7) under visible light. Moreover, the antibacterial film prepared from Ag3PO4/TiO2/Fe3O4 nanocomposite presented excellent bactericidal activity and recyclability toward Escherichia coli (E. coli) cells under visible-light irradiation. In addition to the intrinsic cytotoxicity of silver ions, the elevated bactericidal efficiency of Ag3PO4/TiO2/Fe3O4 can be largely attributed to its highly enhanced photocatalytic activity. The photogenerated hydroxyl radicals and superoxide ions on the formed Ag/Ag3PO4/TiO2 interfaces cause considerable morphological changes in the microorganism’s cells and lead to the death of the bacteria.
