TL;DR: A solution for simultaneous image encryption and compression using compressed sensing using structurally random matrix (SRM), and permutation-diffusion type image encryption using 3-D cat map is presented.
Abstract: This paper presents a solution for simultaneous image encryption and compression. The primary introduced techniques are compressed sensing (CS) using structurally random matrix (SRM), and permutation-diffusion type image encryption. The encryption performance originates from both the techniques, whereas the compression effect is achieved by CS. Three-dimensional (3-D) cat map is employed for key stream generation. The simultaneously produced three state variables of 3-D cat map are respectively used for the SRM generation, image permutation and diffusion. Numerical simulations and security analyses have been carried out, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness and security performance of the proposed system.

TL;DR: This paper develops an off-policy reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm to solve optimal synchronization of multiagent systems by using the framework of graphical games and shows that the optimal distributed policies found by the proposed algorithm satisfy the global Nash equilibrium and synchronize all agents to the leader.
Abstract: This paper develops an off-policy reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm to solve optimal synchronization of multiagent systems. This is accomplished by using the framework of graphical games. In contrast to traditional control protocols, which require complete knowledge of agent dynamics, the proposed off-policy RL algorithm is a model-free approach, in that it solves the optimal synchronization problem without knowing any knowledge of the agent dynamics. A prescribed control policy, called behavior policy, is applied to each agent to generate and collect data for learning. An off-policy Bellman equation is derived for each agent to learn the value function for the policy under evaluation, called target policy, and find an improved policy, simultaneously. Actor and critic neural networks along with least-square approach are employed to approximate target control policies and value functions using the data generated by applying prescribed behavior policies. Finally, an off-policy RL algorithm is presented that is implemented in real time and gives the approximate optimal control policy for each agent using only measured data. It is shown that the optimal distributed policies found by the proposed algorithm satisfy the global Nash equilibrium and synchronize all agents to the leader. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

TL;DR: In this paper, a homogeneous polypyrrole layer is successfully coated on the surface of Li5Cr7Ti6O25 particles, which improves the reversibility and migration ability of lithium intercalation/deintercalation and reduces the charge-transfer reaction resistance.
Abstract: Pristine Li5Cr7Ti6O25 and polypyrrole-modified Li5Cr7Ti6O25 materials are successfully synthesized by a facile sol-gel process. Based on the X-ray diffraction pattern and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, a homogeneous polypyrrole layer is successfully coated on the surface of Li5Cr7Ti6O25 particles. The polypyrrole modification improves the reversibility and migration ability of lithium intercalation/deintercalation and reduces the charge-transfer reaction resistance. Li5Cr7Ti6O25@ polypyrrole shows higher delithiation/lithiation capacities and more excellent cycling performance at different charge-discharge rates than the pristine one. Li5Cr7Ti6O25@polypyrrole delivers a delithiation capacity of 115.9 mAh·g−1 with 87.23% capacity retention cycled at 10C/3 rate after 300 cycles and a delithiation capacity of 132 mAh g−1 with 72.2% capacity retention cycled at 20C/3 charge-discharge rate after 150 cycles. Hence, polypyrrole coating can be considered as an effective way to enhance the electrochemical property of Li5Cr7Ti6O25 for advanced Li-ion battery, and the effective design strategy may be used to improve the lithium storage capacity and cycling stability of other Ti-based negative electrodes.
