TL;DR: A new clustering algorithm is developed that organizes findings about data in the form of a collection of information granules-hyperboxes that promotes a data mining way of problem solving by emphasizing the transparency of the results.
Abstract: The study is devoted to a granular analysis of data. We develop a new clustering algorithm that organizes findings about data in the form of a collection of information granules-hyperboxes. The clustering carried out here is an example of a granulation mechanism. We discuss a compatibility measure guiding a construction (growth) of the clusters and explain a rationale behind their development. The clustering promotes a data mining way of problem solving by emphasizing the transparency of the results (hyperboxes). We discuss a number of indexes describing hyperboxes and expressing relationships between such information granules. It is also shown how the resulting family of the information granules is a concise descriptor of the structure of the data-a granular signature of the data. We examine the properties of features (variables) occurring of the problem as they manifest in the setting of the information granules. Numerical experiments are carried out based on two-dimensional (2-D) synthetic data as well as multivariable Boston data available on the WWW.

TL;DR: The field of superhydrophobicity research has reached a stage where huge numbers of candidate treatments have been proposed and jumps have been made in theoretically describing them as mentioned in this paper, and there now seems to be a move to more practical concerns and to considering the demands of individual applications instead of more general cases.
Abstract: Superhydrophobicity is the extreme water repellence of highly textured surfaces. The field of superhydrophobicity research has reached a stage where huge numbers of candidate treatments have been proposed and jumps have been made in theoretically describing them. There now seems to be a move to more practical concerns and to considering the demands of individual applications instead of more general cases. With these developments, polymeric surfaces with their huge variety of properties have come to the fore and are fast becoming the material of choice for designing, developing, and producing superhydrophobic surfaces. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. TL;DR: The results of ANOVA analysis showed the respondents being more partial towards learning via mobile applications and video content over the traditional form, and the students tended to emulate their teachers who integrated modern technologies into their curriculum and used it outside classroom hours for learning.

TL;DR: It is suggested that future research should focus on esport players’ psychological vulnerability because some studies have begun to investigate the difference between problematic and professional gambling and this might provide insights into whether the playing of esports could also be potentially problematic for some players.
Abstract: Recently, the skill involved in playing and mastering video games has led to the professionalization of the activity in the form of 'esports' (electronic sports). The aim of the present paper was to review the main topics of psychological interest about esports and then to examine the similarities of esports to professional and problem gambling. As a result of a systematic literature search, eight studies were identified that had investigated three topics: (1) the process of becoming an esport player, (2) the characteristics of esport players such as mental skills and motivations, and (3) the motivations of esport spectators. These findings draw attention to the new research field of professional video game playing and provides some preliminary insight into the psychology of esports players. The paper also examines the similarities between esport players and professional gamblers (and more specifically poker players). It is suggested that future research should focus on esport players' psychological vulnerability because some studies have begun to investigate the difference between problematic and professional gambling and this might provide insights into whether the playing of esports could also be potentially problematic for some players.

TL;DR: In this article, a bibliometric and systematic review classifies SME and IEs research findings into three echelons: (i) subjects; (ii) theories; and (iii) methods.
Abstract: Business is dynamic and rapidly changing. Global markets were previously the playing field of multinational corporations (MNCs), while small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were local; however, the removal of imposed barriers, and recent technological advances in manufacturing, transportation and communications have indorsed SMEs and international entrepreneurs (IE) global access. SMEs and IEs are increasingly fueling economic growth and innovation and these trends are presenting both opportunities and challenges to both MNCs and SMEs in the global arena. This review systematically examines comparative SME and IE research, analyzing (after fine tuning) 762 articles published in leading journals from 1992 to September 2018. Our bibliometric and systematic review classifies SME and IE research findings into three echelons: (i) subjects; (ii) theories; and (iii) methods.
