23 Mar 2007TL;DR: In this paper, a synchronization control method in a communication system including a mobile station performing an intermittent reception and a base station including: generating, at the base station, a synchronization request (S103), when data addressed to the mobile station arrives (S101); receiving, at mobile station, the synchronization request from the BS, as a response to the synchronisation request; and measuring the signal propagation delay time by using a reception timing of the feedback information (S107).
Abstract: A synchronization control method in a communication system including a mobile station performing an intermittent reception and a base station, including: generating, at the base station, a synchronization request (S103), when data addressed to the mobile station arrives (S101); receiving, at the mobile station, the synchronization request from the base station (S103); transmitting, at the mobile station, feedback information, as a response to the synchronization request (S105); receiving, at the base station, the feedback information (S105); and measuring, at the base station, a signal propagation delay time by using a reception timing of the feedback information (S107).

14 May 2002TL;DR: In this article, a management server fetches an application program from a content server and delivers the fetched application program to the mobile terminal together with information related to reliability of the application program.
Abstract: In response to a request from a mobile terminal (11), a management server (16) fetches an application program from a content server (20) and delivers the fetched application program to the mobile terminal (11) together with information related to reliability of the application program. The mobile terminal (11) receives the application program from the management server (16) and by using the information related to the reliability of the application program, controls linkage operation with another application program. By such a linkage control between a plurality of application programs, it is possible to evade a security problem that precious information leaks due to operation of an application program of low reliability. Thus, it is possible to improve use-friendliness of a user of the mobile terminal (11) while maintaining a high information security.

27 Mar 2012TL;DR: In this paper, a base station includes a congestion state determination unit that determines whether the base station is in congestion state, a barring target setting unit that sequentially sets targets of barring among a plurality of the targets of the barring when a determination is made that it is the congestion state; a barring time interval setting unit, which sets a time interval of the bartering based on the congestion states when the determination was made that the state is congested.
Abstract: A base station includes a congestion state determination unit that determines whether the base station is in a congestion state; a barring target setting unit that sequentially sets targets of barring among a plurality of the targets of the barring when a determination is made that it is the congestion state; a barring time interval setting unit that sets a time interval of the barring based on the congestion state when the determination is made that it is the congestion state; and a transmitter that transmits information representing the targets of the barring and information representing the time interval of the barring to the user equipment.

24 Oct 2008TL;DR: A wireless relay network with two sources, one relay, and one destination is considered, and reliability information about the coded bits in terms of log-likelihood ratios (LLRs) is transmitted from the relay to the destination.
Abstract: A wireless relay network with two sources, one relay, and one destination is considered. In case of erroneous source-relay links, reliability information about the coded bits in terms of log-likelihood ratios (LLRs) is transmitted from the relay to the destination. We introduce a transmission strategy for the reliability information at the relay. In contrast to other popular transmission methods (analog transmission, transmission via soft bit), our approach is motivated by a rate distortion problem for the LLRs obtained at the relay.

05 Jan 2011TL;DR: In this article, a radio base station, mobile terminal device and wireless communication method for transmitting and receiving downlink channel quality measurement reference signals in consideration of interference estimation of high accuracy was proposed.
Abstract: To provide a radio base station apparatus, mobile terminal device and wireless communication method for transmitting and receiving downlink channel quality measurement reference signals in consideration of interference estimation of high accuracy, in a wireless communication method of the invention, a radio base station apparatus generates channel quality measurement reference signals, and maps the channel quality measurement reference signals to two adjacent symbols, and a mobile terminal device receives a downlink signal including the channel quality measurement reference signals mapped to two adjacent symbols, and performs interfering power estimation using the channel quality measurement reference signals mapped to two adjacent symbols.
