14 Nov 2008TL;DR: In this article, a cell selection method for a first CSG cell is described, which includes determining whether or not a first cell satisfies a predetermined condition, when using a first macro cell as a camped cell.
Abstract: A cell selection method includes steps of: (A) determining, at a mobile station (UE), whether or not a first CSG cell satisfies a predetermined condition, when using a first macro cell as a camped cell; and (B) changing, at the mobile station (UE), the camped cell from the first macro cell to a first CSG cell, when determined that the first CSG cell satisfies the predetermined condition.

25 Apr 2005TL;DR: In this article, a relay device installed in a moving unit can, by notifying an own identification number to a mobile communication network along with identification numbers of all mobile communication terminals subordinate to itself, perform en bloc updating of location registration area information of these mobile communications terminals.
Abstract: A relay device installed in a moving unit can, by notifying an own identification number to a mobile communication network along with identification numbers of all mobile communication terminals subordinate to itself, perform en bloc updating of location registration area information of these mobile communication terminals. This relay device can receive an en bloc paging request wherein paging requests to plural subordinate mobile communication terminals are aggregated, reconstruct the received en bloc paging request, and transmit the paging requests to each of the mobile communication terminals subordinate to itself.

14 Jan 2002TL;DR: In this paper, a control method and system for information delivery in a mobile communications network in which, as a mobile terminal moves from a communication area to another, a cache node in a delivery channel which delivers cache information to the mobile terminal is switched to another cache nodes in another delivery channel to reduce information traffic in the network utilizing the cache function of the cache nodes.
Abstract: A control method and system for information delivery in a mobile communications network in which, as a mobile terminal moves from a communication area to another, a cache node in a delivery channel which delivers cache information to the mobile terminal is switched to another cache node in another delivery channel to reduce information traffic in the network utilizing the cache function of the cache nodes. After a portion of cache information is delivered by a cache node to the mobile terminal, only the remaining portion of cache information is delivered by another cache node.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a portable radio equipment which is made up of a pair of metal plates located face-to-face, and a short-circuiting member for shortcircuit the metal plates.
Abstract: Portable radio equipment which is thin enough to enhance portability and, yet, has a sufficiently high antenna gain. The equipment has an antenna which is made up of a pair of metal plates located face-to-face, and a short-circuiting member for short-circuiting the metal plates. A circuit board loaded with radio circuitry is interposed between two metal plates with the radio circuitry being connected to the antenna. A capacitor is connected between the metal plates to lower the resonance frequency of the antenna, as needed. A circular cell for powering the equipment is located in a cell receiving portion near the short-circuiting member.

30 Jan 2002TL;DR: In this article, a receiving process method of a receiving apparatus used in a mobile communication system is provided in which a sending apparatus sends a plurality of code channels as code channel groups to which spreading codes are assigned to a receiving device, and the receiving device receives the code channels.
Abstract: A receiving process method of a receiving apparatus used in a mobile communication system is provided in which a sending apparatus sends a plurality of code channels as code channel groups to which spreading codes are assigned to a receiving apparatus, and the receiving apparatus receives the code channels, the receiving process method comprising the steps of: when spreading codes used for the code channel groups are orthogonal code sequences, generating received spreading signal sequences of the code channel groups according to the number of received paths; and removing received spreading signal sequences of a received path of own code channel group of the receiving apparatus which should be removed from received signals.
