31 Jan 2013TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a mobile communication method which includes the steps of: transmitting simultaneous transmission capability information from a mobile station UE to a radio base station eNB, the simultaneous transmissions capability information indicating whether or not the UE can transmit uplink data signals via multiple carriers in the same sub-frame.
Abstract: An objective is to improve communication quality by reducing an insertion loss or the like of a diplexer inserted to reduce a leakage from an uplink band to a downlink band in different bands. A mobile communication method according to the present invention includes the steps of: transmitting simultaneous transmission capability information from a mobile station UE to a radio base station eNB, the simultaneous transmission capability information indicating whether or not the mobile station UE can transmit uplink data signals via multiple carriers in the same sub-frame while performing uplink CA; performing scheduling for the mobile station UE by the radio base station eNB on the basis of the simultaneous transmission capability information; and performing communication by the mobile station UE on the basis of the scheduling information.

07 Jan 2003TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a Java-AP system that operates within the range of authorization expressed by policy information contained in Security Descriptive File (SDF) 204.
Abstract: Mobile unit 16 which can activate Java-AP software receives SDF (Security Descriptive File) 204 from administering server unit 18 which a trustworthy organization (a communication provider which administers mobile packet communication network 15 ) administers, and obtains ADF 205 from IP server unit 13 by using URL contained in the SDF, and obtains Jar file 206 from IP server unit 13 by using ADF 205, and installs in itself Java-AP containing these files. Java-AP, which is achieved by activating the installed Java-AP software, operates within the range of authorization expressed by policy information contained in SDF 204.

02 Oct 2002TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a reconfigurable paging system that adaptively reconfigures the paging area according to changes in movement traffic of mobile hosts, under a constraint that only a limited number of area IDs are permitted for each paging unit.
Abstract: In a telecommunication system, paging areas may be automatically reconfigured as required. Paging areas can be adaptively reconfigured in accordance with changes in movement traffic of mobile hosts. The system and method work under a constraint that only a limited number of area IDs are permitted for each paging unit area. Also, the system and method work over heterogeneous access networks. Thus, according to the presently disclosed embodiments, paging areas reconfigure themselves according to changes in movement traffic of mobile hosts.

27 Mar 2008TL;DR: In this article, a communications terminal comprises a display, a first storage for storing data, a second storage unit that stores a first and a second information set, the first information set including a first communications address and a communications recipient's name, and the latter information set includes a second communications address, and a text string expressed by data stored in the first storage unit; a second display controller that identifies a name from the second display unit included in the text string being displayed.
Abstract: A communications terminal comprises a display, a first storage for storing data, a second storage unit that stores a first and a second information set, the first information set including a first communications address and a communications recipient's name, and the second information set includes a second communications address and a communications recipient's name, a first display controller displays a text string expressed by data stored in the first storage unit; and a second display controller that identifies a name from the second storage unit included in the text string being displayed. When the name is associated with the first communications address, a screen prompts communications to the first communications address, or when the name is associated with the second communications address, a screen prompts communications to the second communications address.

TL;DR: The achievable system-level gains of NOMA are shown promising even when practical considerations were taken into account, and future enhancements of spectrum efficiency in lower frequency bands for downlink of 5G system are presented.
Abstract: Multiple access (MA) technology is of most importance for 5G. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) utilizing power domain and advanced receiver has been considered as a promising candidate MA technology recently. In this paper, the NOMA concept is presented toward future enhancements of spectrum efficiency in lower frequency bands for downlink of 5G system. Key component technologies of NOMA are presented and discussed including multiuser transmission power allocation, scheduling algorithm, receiver design and combination of NOMA with multi-antenna technology. The performance gains of NOMA are evaluated by system-level simulations with very practical assumptions. Under multiple configurations and setups, the achievable system-level gains of NOMA are shown promising even when practical considerations were taken into account.
