Abstract: Multicast distribution of content is not suited to content-based electronic commerce because all buyers obtain exactly the same copy of the content, in such a way that unlawful redistributors cannot be traced. Unicast distribution has the shortcoming of requiring one connection with each buyer, but it allows the merchant to embed a different serial number in the copy obtained by each buyer, which enables redistributor tracing. Peer-to-peer (P2P) distribution is a third option which may combine some of the advantages of multicast and unicast: on the one hand, the merchant only needs unicast connections with a few seed buyers, who take over the task of further spreading the content; on the other hand, if a proper fingerprinting mechanism is used, unlawful redistributors of the P2P-distributed content can still be traced. In this paper, we propose a novel fingerprinting mechanism for P2P content distribution which allows redistributor tracing, while preserving the privacy of most honest buyers and offering collusion resistance and buyer frameproofness.

Abstract: In this article we propose a review of the anthropology of food in Spain and Latin America from a recent historical perspective. The article analyzes the origin of the anthropology of food in Spain and in Latin America and the difficulties for the establishment of this specialty in the context of the sociocultural anthropology to the present day, and includes an overview of current and emerging subjects. The article is organized mainly around three axes that group the subjects and trends of professionals who have worked in this field: food heritage between locality and globalization; hunger and food deficiencies; and food symbolism and meaning.

Abstract: This article introduces OpenMote+, a prototyping platform designed for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The OpenMote+ offers a dual-radio interface for shortand long-range communications, supporting the most prominent physical and MAC (Medium Access Control) layer standards, such as IEEE 802.15.4e, IEEE 802.15.4g and 6TiSCH, and a contact-based interface based on NFC (Near Field Communications) to address the operational aspects of a network deployment, such as secure key distribution and in-situ reprogramming. The OpenMote+ platform will be supported by the most popular open-source IIoT implementations today, such as OpenWSN, Contiki and RiOT.

Abstract: Most cancers evolve to disable the p53 pathway, a key tumour suppressor mechanism that prevents transformation and malignant cell growth. However, only ~50% exhibit inactivating mutations of p53, while in the rest its activity is suppressed by changes in the proteins that modulate the pathway. Therefore, restoring p53 activity in cells in which it is still wild type is a highly attractive therapeutic strategy that could be effective in many different cancer types. To this end, drugs can be used to stabilise p53 levels by modulating its regulatory pathways. However, despite the emergence of promising strategies, drug development has stalled in clinical trials. The need for alternative approaches has shifted the spotlight to the 14-3-3 family of proteins, which strongly influence p53 stability and transcriptional activity through direct and indirect interactions. Here, we present the first detailed review of how 14-3-3 proteins regulate p53, with special emphasis on the mechanisms involved in their binding to different members of the pathway. This information will be important to design new compounds that can reactivate p53 in cancer cells by influencing protein-protein interactions. The intricate relationship between the 14-3-3 isoforms and the p53 pathway suggests that many potential drug targets for p53 reactivation could be identified and exploited to design novel antineoplastic therapies with a wide range of applications.
