TL;DR: In this article, a simple and rapid spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrite is described based upon simple diazotization reactions involving p-nitroaniline (PNA) and sulfanilamide (SA) with ethyl acetoacetate (EAA) as the coupling agent.
