24 Oct 1988TL;DR: In this paper, a color correction method applicable to a digital processing type of color copier is presented, whereby a set of color patches of respectively different sample colors is printed using a setof printing data values, the color patches are then scanned and analyzed to obtain color patch input data values by the color copiers, and each of all of the possible input color data values that can be produced by the scanner/analyzer section of the colour copiers is then related to one of the color patch inputs which is closest to the corresponding printing value in a 3D color space.
Abstract: A color correction method applicable to a digital processing type of color copier, whereby a set of color patches of respectively different sample colors is printed using a set of printing data values, the color patches are then scanned and analyzed to obtain color patch input data values by the color copier, and each of all of the possible input color data values that can be produced by the scanner/analyzer section of the color copier is then related to one of the color patch input data values which is closest thereto in a 3-dimensional color space. Each of these possible input color data values is thereby related to an appropriate color printing value, whereby a color correction table can be generated which provides correction accuracy that is independent of non-linearity of color printing characteristics.

02 Sep 2005TL;DR: In this paper, the introduction depth of impurities and the amount of the impurities to be introduced in the channel region can be controlled or the threshold voltage of the thin-film transistor.
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a thin film transistor, when impurity ions are introduced in a channel region between source and drain regions in a semiconductor layer, an insulator layer is first formed on the semiconductor layer. Then, impurity ions generated on high frequency discharge are introduced through the insulator layer into the semiconductor layer under a specified acceleration voltage. Then, the introduction depth of impurities and the amount of the impurities to be introduced in the channel region can be controlled or the threshold voltage of the thin film transistor can be controlled. This method can be applied to a large substrate.

23 Oct 2001TL;DR: In this article, a trusted computer network is protected behind a gateway that includes a bastion host and screening router which blocks all URLs associated with the trusted network, and authentication is performed using one-time passwords that are stored on a portable storage device.
Abstract: The trusted computer network is protected behind a gateway that includes a bastion host and screening router which blocks all URLs associated with the trusted network. The bastion host includes a remote client authentication mechanism and web proxy component that verifies and translates incoming URL requests from authenticated remote clients. Authentication is performed using one-time passwords that are stored on a portable storage device. The user configures the portable storage device by operating configuration software from the protected side of the gateway. The portable storage device also stores plug-in software to enable the client computer to properly retrieve the one-time password and exchange authentication messages with the bastion host. Further security is obtained by basing the one-time password on an encrypted version of the user's PIN. A symmetric key used to encrypt the PIN is stored in a protected area within the portable storage device.

30 Oct 2006TL;DR: In this paper, a transmission line pair including a first transmission line and a second transmission line which is placed in adjacency that a coupled line region to be coupled with the first transmission lines is formed is formed, in which a first signal conductor is placed on one surface which is either a top face of a substrate formed from a dielectric or semiconductor or an inner-layer surface parallel to the top face and which has a linear shape along its transmission direction.
Abstract: In a transmission line pair including a first transmission line and a second transmission line which is so placed in adjacency that a coupled line region to be coupled with the first transmission line is formed, in the coupled line region, the first transmission line includes a first signal conductor which is placed on one surface which is either a top face of a substrate formed from a dielectric or semiconductor or an inner-layer surface parallel to the top face and which has a linear shape along its transmission direction, and the second transmission line includes a second signal conductor which is placed on the one surface of the substrate and which partly includes a transmission-direction reversal region for transmitting a signal along a direction having an angle of more than 90 degrees with respect to the transmission direction within the plane of the placement, and which has a line length different from that of the first signal conductor.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an angular velocity sensor having a self diagnosis function, which includes a driving part for stably vibrating a sensor element having a driver part and a detector part for detecting angular velocity and detection means for detecting the angular velocity of the sensor element.
Abstract: The present invention aims to present an angular velocity sensor having a self diagnosis function. An angular velocity sensor of the present invention includes a driving part for stably vibrating a driving part of a sensor element having a driver part and a detector part for detecting an angular velocity and detection means for detecting the angular velocity of the sensor element and obtains a self diagnosis signal for a malfunction by detecting a mechanical coupling signal obtained at the detection means.
