TL;DR: In this paper, a speaker system includes a display panel for displaying an image, a transparent panel provided such that the image displayed in the display panel is viewed through the transparent panel, and an acoustic signal transfer member for transferring the sound output from the electric-mechanical-acoustic-transducer to a space provided between the display board and the transparent board.
Abstract: A speaker system includes a display panel for displaying an image; a transparent panel provided such that the image displayed in the display panel is viewed through the transparent panel; an electric-mechanical-acoustic-transducer having a diaphragm for outputting a sound by vibrating the diaphragm in accordance with an electric signal; and an acoustic signal transfer member for transferring the sound output from the electric-mechanical-acoustic-transducer to a space provided between the display panel and the transparent panel. The transparent panel is allowed to be vibrated by the sound transferred to the space from the electric-mechanical-acoustic-transducer via the acoustic signal transfer member.

TL;DR: In this article, an APL detection unit detects the APL for each unit field time period of an input video signal, and a light source control data production unit produces, depending on the results of the detection, a minimum level which can stably drive the light source when APL is 0% up to a predetermined value A1, a maximum level that can reliably drive the LSH when the APH is a predetermined values A2 up to 100%, and a LSH control signal which dynamically varies depending on APH when the HSH is between the predetermined value H
Abstract: An APL detection unit detects the APL for each unit field time period of an input video signal, and a light source control data production unit produces, depending on the results of the APL detection, a light source control signal at a minimum level which can stably drive a light source when the APL is 0% up to a predetermined value A1, a light source control signal at a maximum level which can stably drive the light source when the APL is a predetermined value A2 up to 100%, and a light source control signal which dynamically varies depending on the APL when the APL is between the predetermined value A1 and the predetermined value A2, to drive the light source on the basis of the light source control signal. As a result, it is possible to mitigate the lack of a contrast feeling and the occurrence of a floating blackness, as well as to improve the reliability of the light source.

TL;DR: In this article, an electric field is imposed across cells of an electrophoretic suspension layer to change the optical reflective property of the cells in a predetermined sequence after a pause interval by the horizontal and vertical electrode driving circuits.
Abstract: A scanning apparatus for an electrophoretic matrix display panel, has a horizontal (X-line) electrode driving circuit to provide a selecting pulse, a vertical (Y-line) electrode driving circuit to provide a data pulse, and an information signal supply means. An electric field is imposed across cells of an electrophoretic suspension layer to change the optical reflective property of the cells in a predetermined sequence after a pause interval by the horizontal and vertical electrode driving circuits. This causes operation of the display panel without cross effect.

TL;DR: In this paper, a broadcast receiving apparatus for receiving broadcast in multiple channels, controllability of setting of desired programs out of multiple programs being broadcast, and various manipulations and selections about such programs, inspection of the charge amount situation, and prevention of wrong use about connection to a telephone circuit, and these manipulations are effected in an interactive manner with the screen display shown in appropriate display format, layout, shape and color, considering psychological effects, according to the natural flow of thought of general users who manipulate.
Abstract: The present invention relates to, in a broadcast receiving apparatus for receiving broadcast in multiple channels, controllability of setting of desired programs out of multiple programs being broadcast, and various manipulations and selections about such programs, inspection of the charge amount situation, and prevention of wrong use about connection to a telephone circuit, and these manipulations are effected in an interactive manner with the screen display shown in appropriate display format, layout, shape and color, considering psychological effects, according to the natural flow of thought of general users who manipulate. More specifically, the menu panel showing manipulation items in layers is displayed characters and expression of proper size suited to the broadcast receiving apparatus, and the layer index is attached to the menu panel, so that the layer of the present manipulation may be known at a glance, and moreover in the program list display, an official program name display column is displayed in a predetermined specific position, outside of the program list display column, and the display state of this official program name display column is maintained if the picture is changed to the broadcast content briefing picture or reserve condition customize picture. In addition, the access to the modem or IC card is indicated by the indicator, and the charge amount detail can be known from the IC card.

TL;DR: In this article, a mobile telephone apparatus is disclosed which comprises: a radio communication circuit having an antenna for receiving a radio wave signal and outputting a reception signal; a judging circuit responsive to the reception signal for judging whether the mobile telephone device is inside or outside a service area; a detection circuit for detecting whether the device is in a moving condition or a static condition; a power supply for supplying a power to the radio communications circuit; and a control circuit for stopping supplying the power when the mobile device was outside the service area and the device was in the static condition.
Abstract: A mobile telephone apparatus is disclosed which comprises: a radio communication circuit having an antenna for receiving a radio wave signal and outputting a reception signal; a judging circuit responsive to the reception signal for judging whether the mobile telephone apparatus is inside or outside a service area; a detection circuit for detecting whether the mobile telephone apparatus is in a moving condition or a static condition; a power supply for supplying a power to the radio communication circuit; and a control circuit responsive to the judging circuit and the detection circuit for stopping supplying the power to the radio communication circuit when the mobile telephone apparatus is outside the service area and the mobile telephone apparatus is in the static condition. The detection circuit may comprises a acceleration sensor, a vibration sensor, a vehicle speed meter. The power consumption is further reduced by making the microprocessor and the acceleration sensor in a sleep mode. Intervals of the power saving mode can be displayed.
