17 Jan 1997TL;DR: In this article, a data stream can be transmitted in response to a transmission request of a title from a transmission device at the site of the client, which will transmit a set of reproduction information, including a plurality of titles and reproduction start times to the server along with the client identification.
Abstract: An on-demand communication system provides a multimedia server connected to a plurality of clients via a network. A data stream can be transmitted in response to a transmission request of a title from a transmission device at the site of the client. The transmission device will transmit a set of reproduction information, including a plurality of titles and reproduction start times to the server along with the client identification. The server contemporarily would store, in a buffer, the reproduction information and the client identifier, read the reproduction information and the client identifier and then create a set of transmission information for each client request. A timer unit can activate a timer assigned to the client to measure time when the data stream transmission device is to start transmitting the data stream to the client.

11 Mar 1993TL;DR: In this article, a safety control apparatus positively discriminates between an object and a person through the detection of subtle physical movement corresponding to the heart activity and the breathing unique to the life activity of the human body from a output signal of a vibration sensor disposed on a seat so as to accurately decide whether or not a person is present.
Abstract: A safety control apparatus positively discriminates between an object and a person through the detection of subtle physical movement corresponding to the heart activity and the breathing unique to the life activity of the human body from a output signal of a vibration sensor disposed on a seat so as to accurately decide whether or not a person is present. The maintenance of the safe operation of the moving vehicle can be realized. The starting of the moving vehicle is inhibited if the reserved seat is determined to be unoccupied in accordance with the decision result. In the case where the person is present, the moving of the vehicle is not started before the engagement of the seat belt has been detected.

10 Jan 2003TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of low power consumption and low voltage by generating no through current in read, unnecessitating electric power consumed in pre-charge, and performing small amplitude transmission and recycle of electric changes is solved.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain stable operation with low power consumption and low voltage by generating no through current in read, unnecessitating electric power consumed in pre-charge, and performing small amplitude transmission and recycle of electric changes. SOLUTION: In a memory cell, a first load transistor P1 and a second load transistor P2 are connected to a first drive transistor N1 and a second drice transistor N2 in a flip-flop state. A first switch N3 controlled by a word line WL and a second switch N14 activated only in the case of write-in are connected in series to a first storage node V1, and a second switch N14 is connected in series between the first storage node V1 and the first drive transistor N1. When read, a current detecting impedance which varies by a signal potential of the first storage node is injected to a selected bit line pair BL,/BL.

23 Apr 2012TL;DR: The organic electroluminescence element in accordance with the present invention includes: a light-emitting layer, a first electrode layer on a first surface in a thickness direction of the light emitting layer, an electrically conductive layer, and an insulating layer.
Abstract: The organic electroluminescence element in accordance with the present invention includes: a light-emitting layer; a first electrode layer on a first surface in a thickness direction of the light-emitting layer; a second electrode layer on a second surface in the thickness direction of the light-emitting layer; an electrically conductive layer; and an insulating layer. The light-emitting layer is configured to emit light when a predetermined voltage is applied between the first and second electrode layers. The second electrode layer includes an electrode part covering the second surface and an opening part formed in the electrode part to expose the second surface. The electrically conductive layer is designed to allow the light to pass therethrough, and is interposed between the second surface and the second electrode layer to cover the second surface. The insulating layer is interposed between the second surface and the electrically conductive layer to overlap the electrode part.

28 Jun 1990TL;DR: In this article, a floor to be cleaned is subdivided into a plurality of blocks, and the position of each block is memorized in a memory of a self-running cleaning apparatus.
Abstract: A zone of a floor to be cleaned is subdivided into a plurality of blocks, the position of each block is memorized in a memory of a self-running cleaning apparatus, and the status of each block such that a wall or an obstacle is placed on the block or the block is passed by the cleaning apparatus thereon is also memorized in the memory. The cleaning apparatus moves across the blocks having neither wall nor obstacle thereon and which have not been passed by the cleaning apparatus on the basis of a predetermined priority order in running direction.
