TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an object for generating vibration and a vibration generating apparatus for allowing a single unit to provide a call signal by way of sound and body-sensible vibration.
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a method for generating vibration and a vibration generating apparatus for allowing a single unit to provide a call signal by way of sound and body-sensible vibration. According to the method for generating vibration of the invention, first and second vibration systems having different resonance frequencies from each other are magnetically coupled to each other and a state of energy externally supplied to the systems is selected thereby causing the first vibration system to vibrate relative to the second vibration system for generating a body-sensible vibration, for example. By changing the state of the energy, the second vibration system is caused to vibrate relative to the first vibration system for generating sound.

TL;DR: In this article, a facial image picture data is processed by an edge extraction part, which performs edge extraction on the input image picture and then converted by a binary level conversion part for each preestimated point of facial elements.
Abstract: A facial image picture data is processed by an edge extraction part, which performs edge extraction on the inputted image picture The processed data is then converted by a binary level conversion part for each preestimated point of facial elements An image picture arithmetic processing part performs time-to-time arithmetic computation of correlation values between the data of the binary-leveled edged-image picture and the data having been previously stored in the shape data-base part, and issues an output including extracted data of feature points of the facial image picture

TL;DR: A nonlinear color-appearance model was extended to apply to white and light-gray background and two kinds of chromatic-adaptation transforms were derived, which correspond to lightness-chroma match and brightness-colorfulness match.
Abstract: A nonlinear color-appearance model was extended to apply to white and light-gray background. Based on this extended model, two kinds of chromatic-adaptation transforms were derived, which correspond to lightness-chroma match and brightness-colorfulness match. The chromatic-adaptation transform for lightness-chroma match is also an extension of the transform proposed by CIE for further testing. The differences between the two transforms were confirmed by visual observations. The usefulness of a combination of a color-appearance model and its corresponding chromatic adaptation transform is discussed. In addition, the practical importance of brightness and colorfulness is discussed.

TL;DR: The approach offers a novel view of autonomous spectrum management based on cognitive interference recognition and adaptive channel management and shows great channel SINR improvement by implementing the opportunistic channel scheduler.
Abstract: We study a method of cognitive interference management in user-deployed 3G femtocell networks. Each femtocell cognitively recognizes an interference signature from the network environment and opportunistically allocates the proper channel patterns for interference minimization. Simulation results show great channel SINR improvement by implementing our opportunistic channel scheduler. The approach offers a novel view of autonomous spectrum management based on cognitive interference recognition and adaptive channel management.

TL;DR: In this article, a gate electrode is formed on the ferroelectric film and the silicon substrate has a first conductivity type, and the source region and the drain region has a second conductivity Type.
Abstract: A source region and a drain region are formed in a silicon substrate, a dielectric film is formed above a region of the silicon substrate between the source region and the drain region, a ferroelectric film is formed on the dielectric film, and a gate electrode is formed on the ferroelectric film. The ferroelectric film and the silicon substrate have a first conductivity type, and the source region and the drain region has a second conductivity type.
