26 Nov 1990TL;DR: In this article, a process of preparation of a biosensor comprising forming an electrode system mainly containing carbon on an insulating base plate, treating the surface of electrode system with an organic solvent, and then arranging a reaction layer on the electrode system to give a unified element.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of preparation of a biosensor comprising forming an electrode system mainly containing carbon on an insulating base plate, treating the surface of electrode system with an organic solvent, and then arranging a reaction layer on the electrode system to give a unified element. The reaction layer contains an enzyme, electron acceptor and a hydrophilic polymer. Treatment with the organic solvent improves adhesion of the reaction layer to the electrode system. The electrode system contains a working electrode and a counter electrode. The electrode system is formed from a carbon paste containing a resin binder. Treatment is preferably carried out by wiping the surface of the electrodes with a material impregnated by the organic solvent.

16 May 2002TL;DR: In this article, an information printing system that is capable of printing data, which is handled by an arbitrary client apparatus of a digital system, in an output format suitable for printing, is presented.
Abstract: An information printing system that is capable of printing data, which is handled by an arbitrary client apparatus of a digital system, in an output format suitable for printing, with a relatively simple structure without using a printer driver. In this system, conversion rule information, which is used to convert BML data (digital broadcast contents) into XML data (XML data for printing) printable by the corresponding printer 200, is pre-stored in the printer 200. A receiver 100 downloads necessary conversion rule information from the printer 200 with given timing, and converts received BML data to XML data for printing based on the conversion rule information, and transmits a conversion result (XML data for printing) to the printer 200.

27 Sep 1996TL;DR: An interleaving method for generating a bitstream from plural video objects containing compressed video data by arranging in the presentation order is presented in this paper, where interleaved data blocks are contiguously arrayed using interleaves each longer than the shortest read time ILVUMT such that the video object presentation start and end points are aligned.
Abstract: An interleaving method for generating a bitstream from plural video objects containing compressed video data by arranging in the presentation order, wherein interleaved data blocks in which plural video objects are contiguously arrayed using interleaved units each longer than the shortest read time ILVUMT such that the video object presentation start and end points are aligned. The ratio between the presentation times of video objects with the shortest presentation time and video objects other than those with the shortest presentation time is within a range obtained from the shortest read time ILVUMT, the maximum jumpable distance JM, and the smallest control unit. contiguous data blocks wherein the presentation start points and end points of the video objects arrayed therein are not aligned.

23 Sep 1998TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a non-hierarchial coding technique in which the data are represented as a set of substream components, capable of being reconstituted from fewer than all of the components of the original data stream.
Abstract: Multiple media push engines communicate with the multimedia client through a multi casting network that may incorporate multiple delivery paths. The streaming data representing media selections for delivery are distributed across multiple media push engines using a non-hierarchial coding technique in which the data are represented as a set of substream components, capable of being reconstituted from fewer than all of the components of the original data stream. The higher the number of components used in reconstitution, the higher the quality of service is provided by the reconstituted stream. Admission control to the group multicast session is administered in a distributed fashion, where an admission control unit opens the multicast stream, with all subsequent admission control decisions being made by the media push engines themselves. Substream component data are sent using Real-Time transport protocol while session management and the distributed admission control process are administered under the Real-Time Control Protocol.

21 Feb 2007TL;DR: In this paper, a probabilistic intrusion detection analyzer is used to generate a likelihood score indicative of whether the system calls being monitored were produced by a computer system whose security has been compromised.
Abstract: Selected system calls are monitored to generate frequency data that is input to a probabilistic intrusion detection analyzer which generates a likelihood score indicative of whether the system calls being monitored were produced by a computer system whose security has been compromised. A first Bayesian network is trained on data from a compromised system and a second Bayesian network is trained on data from a normal system. The probabilistic intrusion detection analyzer considers likelihood data from both Bayesian networks to generate the intrusion detection measure.
