TL;DR: For the formation of non-ohmic ZnO ceramics, Oxide additives markedly influence these reactions and consequently the phases and microstructure dissolving into the above phases and relating to composition and sintering conditions as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: For the formation of nonohmic ZnO ceramics based on the system ZnO-Bi2O3-Sb2O3, the reactions on heating (→) and on slow cooling (←), 2PY+17ZnO\xleftarrow\xrightarrow950°~1050°C3Xzso+3Bi2O3 [L] \ding"C0, and Xzso\xleftarrow\xrightarrow\gtrsim1300°CSP \ding"C1, play important roles, where PY is Zn2Bi3Sb3O14 pyrochlore, Xzso a polymorph of Zn7Sb2O12 [SP] and L is a liquid. Oxide additives markedly influence these reactions and consequently the phases and microstructure of the ceramics, dissolving into the above phases and relating to composition and sintering conditions. In the case of Co, Mn and Cr oxides, the degree of influence is as follows : Co

12 Mar 1993TL;DR: A push switch is capable of performing a first switching operation and subsequently a second switching operation when a pressing force is applied to the switch as discussed by the authors, where the push switch includes an insulating membrane having at least one dome with at least a portion of its outer periphery overlaid by or serving as an outer conductor.
Abstract: A push switch is capable of performing a first switching operation and subsequently a second switching operation when a pressing force is applied to the switch. The push switch includes (a) an insulating membrane having at least one dome with at least a portion thereof overlaid by or serving as an inner conductor and at least a portion of its outer periphery overlaid by or serving as an outer conductor, (b) an insulating substrate having thereupon an inner pole contact disposed at a position opposing to the inner conductor and an outer pole contact disposed at a position opposing to the outer conductor, respectively, and (c) a spacer placed between the insulating membrane and the insulating substrate for spacing the conductor apart from the pole contacts during the time when no pressing force is applied to the switch. When a light pressing force is applied to the dome, the outer conductor will first come in contact with the outer pole contact causing a first switching operation to take place, and subsequently with a further pressing, the inner conductor will come in contact with the inner contact causing a second switching operation to take place.

10 Mar 2004TL;DR: In this paper, a polymer electrolyte fuel cell is provided, which is capable of suppressing the progress of drying of the polymeric electrolyte in the catalyst layers and of the polymer membrane between them.
Abstract: There is provided a polymer electrolyte fuel cell capable of: sufficiently suppressing the progress of drying of the polymer electrolyte in the catalyst layers and of the polymer electrolyte membrane, and in addition, the occurrence of flooding, even if the moistened conditions of the fuel gas or the oxidant gas fed to the fuel cell change; suppressing the degradation of the anode, cathode and polymer electrolyte membrane; and thus reducing the deterioration of the cell performance readily and reliably. The polymer electrolyte fuel cell includes: a polymer electrolyte membrane; an anode and a cathode which are arranged in such a manner as to hold the polymer electrolyte membrane between them; and a pair of separators having a first gas flow path for feeding fuel gas to the anode and discharging fuel gas from the anode and a second gas flow path for feeding oxidant gas to the cathode and discharging oxidant gas from the cathode, where a notched portion is made on each of the anode and the cathode in such a position so as to allow the two notched portions to face each other, the polymer electrolyte membrane is held by the pair of separators in that position, and the polymer electrolyte membrane is supported by reinforcing members having gas permeability in the notches.

08 Sep 2004TL;DR: In this article, the arithmetic processing apparatus of the present invention is an arithmetic processing device that can be reconfigured in accordance with a processing mode and has a plurality of arranged unit arithmetic circuits.
Abstract: The arithmetic processing apparatus of the present invention is an arithmetic processing apparatus that can be reconfigured in accordance with a processing mode and has a plurality of arranged unit arithmetic circuits. Each unit arithmetic circuit includes at least one input terminal, at least one output terminal, a first register which holds data, an adder which calculates a sum of two pieces of data, a second register which holds data, a bit shifter which shifts data left or right, a subtractor which calculates a difference between two pieces of data, an absolute value calculating unit which calculates an absolute value of data, and a path setting unit which sets a path according to the processing mode connecting among these circuit elements.
