Climate policy: How to deal with ambiguity?

Abstract: We study the impact of ambiguity and ambiguity attitudes on optimal adaptation and mitigation decisions when the future environmental quality is ambiguous and the decision maker’s (DM) preferences are represented by the $$\alpha $$ -Maxmin Expected Utility model. We show that ambiguity aversion plays a significant role in designing an optimal climate policy that is different from risk aversion. We also focus on the induced effects of changes in ambiguity, captured by the arrival of additional information. We state that a change in the informational structure may trigger more efforts of both mitigation and adaptation depending on both the DM’s attitude toward ambiguity and her environmental preferences.

Recherches Aéropalynologiques À Paris Et Dans Sa Banlieue: Nouveaux Résultats

Abstract: Des correlations ont ete etablies entre certains facteurs meteorologiques et le depot pollinique observe a l'aide de capteurs gravimetriques places en deux points de l'agglomeration parisienne. L'etude menee de mars a juillet 1984 fait apparaitre le role important des temperatures et des precipitations dans les quantites de pollen dissemine. Des differences dans la duree de pollinisation et les quantites sont observables pour plusieurs taxons entre le site parisien et celui situe en banlieue. Les deux stations presentent une forte proportion de pollen d'arbres jusqu'au 15 juin. Cette proportion s'inverse ensuite au profit des herbacees. La représentation sociale de l’hypnose : conséquences sur la connaissance et la pratique de l’hypnose

Abstract: En ce qui concerne l’hypnose deux types de connaissances s’entremelent etroitement : les connaissances scientifiques et les connaissances sociales. Apres une presentation des principales caracteristiques de ces dernieres qui sont regroupees sous le nom de representations sociales, une reflexion sera conduite sur la facon dont elles viennent s’opposer aux changements qui pourraient resulter des connaissances acquises par l’experience clinique et par la recherche scientifique. Pour conclure, nous insisterons sur l’importance pour l’hypnotherapeute en formation de bien reperer ces differentes representations, d’en reconnaitre l’origine sociale et le sens afin d’apprehender de facon plus juste les reactions de ses patients ainsi que les siennes propres.

Demand Dynamics in a Psycho-Socio-Economic Evolving Network of Consumers

Abstract: In a model of demand dynamics, consumers are linked to each other both in the agent space and in the commodity space and are subject to viability constraints stipulating that only specific configurations of demand are possible. The viability of demand is re-established through both centralized and decentralized, social and learning coordination mechanisms. The framework leads to different results depending on the field of application. In market dynamics theory, the framework characterizes an a posteriori supply and demand law, where social mechanisms are market prices and learning mechanisms the endogenous adaptation of supply. In monetary regulation theory, coordination mechanisms are interest rates and agents' solvability is allowed through both micro and macro-monetary regulation. In a demand model with frustration, agents control their frustration using the representative frustration of society, and the decentralized learning mechanism leads to a selection of neighbors.
