TL;DR: A formal approach allowing the performance evaluation of Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) while considering the whole system behavior (operation, transport and preparation) as well as its possible components failure.
Abstract: This paper introduces a formal approach allowing the performance evaluation of Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) while considering the whole system behavior (operation, transport and preparation) as well as its possible components failure. The proposed approach is based on a generic Generalized Stochastic Petri nets (GSP-nets) model. The introduced GSP-net model represents the basic operation of the FMS elements (machines and material handling systems) as well as their fail and recovery aspects. The existing formal verification GSP-nets methods are exploited, and especially the state space generation and handling, in order to deduce a set of performance indicators helping the FMS designers when scheduling the production. Extracted indicators allow to enhance the decision process and the system efficiency. An important advantage of the introduced approach is that it is parameterized. Thus, it may be adapted to a large class of existing FMSs. The instantiation of the presented GSP-nets model to the specific features of the studied FMS is made by colored tokens.

TL;DR: In this paper, an aspect of the formation process of the image of the Spanish Baroque theatre in France as an irregular and chaotic aesthetic form, which was also considered inferior with respect to the French classical model, is discussed.
Abstract: This essay deals with an aspect of the formation process of the image of the Spanish Baroque theatre in France as an irregular and chaotic aesthetic form, which was also considered inferior with respect to the French classical model. In this theoretical construction, Lope de Vega embodies all of the Spanish theatre's flaws and, more generally, Hispanic literature's ones, in turn conceived as an expression of the Spanish nation’s spirit. This process of elaborating an image of an author at the service of the invention of a national stereotype is possible thanks to the early reception of some prose works by Lope (La Arcadia, El peregrino en su patria) which are enjoying a widespread diffusion in their translations. In a context marked by controversy surrounding the tragi-comedie, assimilated by his detractors to a simple theatrical deformation of novelistic material, Lope de Vega assumes the function of representative of a literature considered extraneous to any rule and to the separation between literary genres.

TL;DR: In this paper, the role played by coin experts, called money changers, in the metallic money system is studied. But the authors focus on the role of coin experts in the monetary system.
Abstract: We study the role played by coin experts, called moneychangers, in the metallic money system. To do that, we introduce intermediaries that can expertise and certify coins into the VeldeWeber and Wright’s (1999) model of commodity money with imperfectly recognizable coins. We show under which conditions buyers have their coins certified, how circulation by weight and circulation by tale equilibria are affected by moneychangers, and whether moneychangers increase welfare.

TL;DR: The convergence of International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law can be seen in the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights as of the year 2000 as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The convergence of International Human Rights Law (IHRL) and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) can be seen in the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights as of the year 2000. From that time, and until now, the Court has explicitly referred to IHL in its analysis of certain cases linked to situations of internal armed conflict. In that regard, the Court has been confronted by the need to verify that the facts of the relevant cases actually took place in such contexts and, moreover, has had to justify the reasons why its considerations refer to a legal framework that is external to the Inter-American corpus juris strictly speaking. The case law that has resulted from this practice demonstrates that the Inter-American Court has relied on IHL to complement the content and scope of human rights and of the general obligations of States in cases related to an internal armed conflict; and to integrate it to its reasoning, beyond mere interpretation, through references to the basic principles of ihl and to the consequences of a declaration of a State’s international responsibility. As such, the Inter-American Court, the regional organ par excellence for the monitoring of human rights, appears to have also become an indirect, perhaps even a direct, mechanism for the control of IHL.
