TL;DR: In this article, a method, apparatus and systems for bookmarking an area of interest of stored video content is provided, which can be accomplished by pressing a button, clicking with a mouse or sending a signal to a device for marking a particular location of the video that is of interest.
Abstract: A method, apparatus and systems for bookmarking an area of interest of stored video content is provided. As a viewer is watching a video and finds an area of interest, they can bookmark the particular segment of the video and then return to that segment with relative simplicity. This can be accomplished by pressing a button, clicking with a mouse or otherwise sending a signal to a device for marking a particular location of the video that is of interest. Frame identifiers can also be used to select a desired video from an index and to then retrieve the video from a medium containing multiple videos.

TL;DR: The Michigan regional collaborative improvement program, which was paid for by a large private insurer, has yielded improvements for a range of clinical conditions, and has reduced costs in several important areas.
Abstract: There is evidence that collaborations between hospitals and physicians in particular regions of the country have led to improvements in the quality of care. Even so, there have not been many of these collaborations. We review one, the Michigan regional collaborative improvement program, which was paid for by a large private insurer, has yielded improvements for a range of clinical conditions, and has reduced costs in several important areas. In general and vascular surgery alone, complications from surgery dropped almost 2.6 percent among participating Michigan hospitals—a change that translates into 2,500 fewer Michigan patients with surgical complications each year. Estimated annual savings from this one collaborative are approximately $20 million, far exceeding the cost of administering the program. Regional collaborative improvement programs should become increasingly attractive to hospitals and physicians, as well as to national policy makers, as they seek to improve health care quality and reduce costs.

TL;DR: In this article, a structure determination was made for NdFe 10 Mo 2, showing that the molybdenum atoms occupied only one of the three available crystallographic sites in this structure type.
Abstract: Ternary compounds based on the tetragonal ThMn 12 structure are formed when rare earth. elements (R) are combined with iron and elements M (M ≡ Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mo or W). A structure determination was made for NdFe 10 Mo 2 , showing that the molybdenum atoms occupy only one of the three available crystallographic sites in this structure type. Detailed investigations of the systems YFe 12 − x V x showed that there is a substantial range of solid solubility extending approximately from x = 1.5 to x = 3. Curie temperatures were determined for the two series YFe 10 M 2 and GdFez 10 M 2 and were found to depend strongly on the component M.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system for contactless charging of battery operated devices, including a host charger with a power converter and resonant tank circuit and a portable device where the battery is located, with a battery charging control IC, is presented.
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for contact-less charging of battery operated devices, including a host charger with a power converter and resonant tank circuit and a portable device where the battery is located, with a battery charging control IC, wherein the method obviates the need for a voltage controller in each of both the host and the portable stages. The charging of the battery in the portable device is controlled by a charging controller therein, which is in continual electric communication with the host, whose output power the control IC dynamically monitors and controls. In one embodiment, component count is minimized but battery charging is not optimized when the battery voltage is very low. In the other embodiment, charging efficiency is maximized regardless of the output voltage of the battery.
