TL;DR: In this article, a switchmode power supply is used for supplying power to a low-voltage load protected by a power protection device, such that after a fault has been detected, a short circuit at the output, a current is supplied for a short period, for example 15 ms, which is of such a magnitude that a protection device can be reliably and quickly tripped.
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic power supply device, particularly a switched-mode power supply, for supplying power to a low-voltage load protected by a protective device, and to a method therefor. The invention also relates to a device for protecting a low-voltage load against an excess current and to an auxiliary power supply device for use with such a protection device. The conceptual core of the invention can be seen in providing measures which ensure that after a fault has been detected, for example a short circuit at the output, a current is supplied for a short period, for example 15 ms, which is of such a magnitude that a protective device can be reliably and quickly tripped. The period for this is selected in such a manner that electronic components, connected loads and feedlines are not damaged and destroyed.

TL;DR: In this article, a safety switching unit (900) is proposed, with which a safety device, preferably an electric drive, can be controlled into a safe state by using a microprocessor or microcontroller.
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety switching unit, with which a safety device, preferably an electric drive, can be controlled into a safe state. The safety switching unit (900) comprises a microprocessor or microcontroller (822) that, for example, can control an electric drive to be protected both when actuating an emergency switch, protective door switch and/or two-hand switch as well as during a faulty operation of the safety switching unit or of the electric drive into a safe state. To this end, the microprocessor (822) is preferably designed so that it can determine from at least one analog signal to be measured whether a predetermined parameter, preferably the amplitude of the analog signal, lies outside a predetermined operating range. In addition, the microprocessor (822) can be a component of a safety device (810), which is configured for the multichannel controlling of a safety electric drive. This enables the safety switching unit (900) to be able to respond to a number of safety functions that are independent of one another in order to control an electric drive into a safe state. In addition, the risk of a wiring error in a compact safety switching unit is considerably reduced compared to known measures.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose to use uncurved plates with the simplest geometry as potential connectors between two bus bars arranged one above the other, at least one bus bar is curved in its course between the conductor connections in the direction of the housing wall.
Abstract: An electrical connecting terminal with a connecting terminal housing has on its wide side a housing wall and bus bars running one above the other are disposed in the housing configured for connecting conductor connections arranged on opposite sides of the connecting terminal housing. The conductor connections are arranged laterally offset to each other in the longitudinal direction of the bus bars. The bus bars are connectable to each other by mean of an electrical component. To ensure that uncurved plates with the simplest geometry can be used as potential connectors between two bus bars arranged one above the other, at least one bus bar is curved in its course between the conductor connections in the direction of the housing wall.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a circuit arrangement that allows data, which are necessary for building up fault-tolerant structures, to be transmitted on standard ring-shaped bus systems.
Abstract: A circuit arrangement allows data, which are necessary for building up fault-tolerant structures, to be transmitted on standard ring-shaped bus systems. Its implementation requires a monitoring unit and input and output units which transmit or receive data for control. The circuit arrangement handles the task of detecting any faults which can become a danger for the process within a machine or plant. Due to its internal configuration, the circuit arrangement identifies any fault even before the detection of the fault and initiates a protected switch-off. In this arrangement, it is of no importance whether it is the external control unit or the bus system used which is responsible for the fault.

TL;DR: In this article, a clamping system is provided which allows to simply and rapidly detach the conductor and which is accessible from several sides of the terminal, making it possible to always use the tools for operating the clamping mechanism in a manner perpendicular to the surface of the printed circuit board.
Abstract: The invention relates to physical connections of a plurality of mutually insulated connecting elements, especially configured for printed circuit boards, the physical connection being a component of an electric connection between two or more conducting elements with direct contact using a spring. The electric terminal represents such a connection, and allows rapid and simple detachment of the conductor, similar to the plug'n'play technology used for plugging in the conductors. A clamping system is provided which allows to simply and rapidly detach the conductor and which is accessible from several sides of the terminal. The advantageous accessibility of the clamping system makes it possible to always use the tools for operating the clamping system in a manner perpendicular to the surface of the printed circuit board.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for transmitting cyclic and acyclic data between at least two user units that are connected to a transmission channel via said transmission channel.
Abstract: One aim of the invention is to create a way to transmit data via a transmission channel which effectively counteracts previously known drawbacks resulting from a ring structure and a line structure while combining advantages of one topology group with advantages of the other topology group. Said aim is achieved by a method for transmitting cyclic and acyclic data between at least two user units that are connected to a transmission channel via said transmission channel, protocol-specific cyclic data being transmitted between at least one user unit acting as a master and at least one user unit acting as a slave. The inventive method is characterized in that data that is to be transmitted during an imminent transmission cycle is checked for redundancy and timeliness relative to corresponding data of a previous cycle while acyclic data is inserted in the data area provided for redundant data instead of said redundant data if an imminent transmission cycle is identified for which redundant data having no new information content is provided.

Engaging hooks are present on each of the two strip shoulders on the inner side facing the plug part that are mirror images with respect to the angle-bisecting plane of the plug strip, and engaging steps are provided in the vicinity of the two longitudinal sides of the socket housing on the plug part that may be engaged by the engaging hook. The position of such engaging steps is matched to allow interaction with the engaging hook on each longitudinal side of the socket housing.
