09 Jul 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a safety device, comprising a first, microprocessor-controlled control unit and a second control unit, for multichannel controlling of a safety-related unit is presented.
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety device, comprising a first, microprocessor-controlled control unit and a second control unit, for multichannel controlling of a safety-related unit. The first microprocessor-controlled control unit has a signal generation unit for generating a first monitoring signal that indicates the current operating state of the first control unit. In addition, a switching unit drivable by the first and second control unit that can turn on the safety-related unit or run it into a secured state is provided. The second control unit has a monoflop that, in response to the monitoring signal, drives the switching unit in such a manner that the safety-related unit can be driven into a safe state in case of faulty operation of the first control unit. A device is associated with the first control unit for generating an enable signal for the second control unit.

29 Sep 2009TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a control device that is constructed to communicate via the communications network in response to a selection signal according to a first communications bus sub-system or according to the second communications bus subsystem, and a selection device for generating the selection signal as a function of an operating mode of the communications entity.
Abstract: The invention relates to a communications entity for communications via a bus-oriented communications network with a control device ( 101 ) that is constructed to communicate via the communications network in response to a selection signal according to a first communications bus sub-system or according to a second communications bus sub-system, and a selection device ( 103 ) for generating the selection signal as a function of an operating mode of the communications entity, in order to select the first communications bus sub-system or the second communications bus sub-system.

17 Jun 2004TL;DR: In this article, a pluggable connector is plugged on a plug connector containing a contact pin and contains an insulation body (8) with a receptacle space (13) for each plug gable contact.
Abstract: A pluggable connector is plugged on a plug connector containing a contact pin (2) and contains an insulation body (8) with a receptacle space (13) for each pluggable contact (12). The insulating body (8) contains in an insertion space of the contact pin at least one guide web (9) for the contact pin which extends in an axial direction relative to the position of the contact pin between two opposite facing arms (5,5a) of the contact spring.

TL;DR: In this article, a ring structure with unidirectional data transfer without terminal addressing to the terminals is presented, where each successive terminal transmits a diagnostic message with a defined value.
Abstract: The system has a ring structure with unidirectional data transfer without terminal addressing to the terminals (5) which are connected into the ring structure, together with a control station (7) of higher standing. Faults, e.g. open circuits (8), are located from the effect on the next terminal in the transfer direction, which fails to receive any further valid input signals and transmits a diagnostic message with a defined value. The value of the message is incremented by each successive terminal, so that the control station can determine the fault location from the difference between the current and predefined message values.

17 Nov 2008TL;DR: In this article, the isolating clip has a housing for a two-part current rail with connections for each rail part, and a swing isolating blade has positions where the rail parts are linked together and are separated.
Abstract: The isolating clip (1) has a housing (2), for a two-part current rail (3,4), with connections for each rail part. A swing isolating blade (5) has positions where the rail parts are linked together and are separated. A plug position (6) is electrically connected to one part-rail (3) to take a plug (10) with a plug housing (11) containing a conductor connection (12) for a pin contact (13), which is placed on the clip housing.
