TL;DR: In this article, a contact insert is used with insulated electrical leads, each of the terminals provided as a knife contact for penetrating the lead insulation, with the terminals positioned in mirror symmetry to the centre plane (M) of the contact insert.
Abstract: The contact insert has a plastics housing block (2) with at least 2 terminals (3) for incoming electrical leads (4) and at least 2 pin or socket sleeve contacts (8), respectively connected to the terminals. The contact insert is used with insulated electrical leads, each of the terminals provided as a knife contact for penetrating the lead insulation, with the terminals positioned in mirror symmetry to the centre plane (M) of the contact insert.

TL;DR: In this paper, a plug element (3) has a contacting area (1) electrically contacting a countercontact surface of a counter-contact element in one region, the contacting area comprises grooves (7) whose alignment forms acute angle (alpha) in plug-in direction.
Abstract: The element (3) i.e. plug element (5), has a contacting area (1) electrically contacting a counter-contact surface of a counter-contact element in one region. The contacting area comprises grooves (7) whose alignment forms acute angle (alpha) in plug-in direction (9). The angle between the plug-in direction and the alignment of the grooves is about 45-60 degrees. Depth and middle width (B) of each groove is about 7-50 micrometer. A square-shaped contact portion is formed as a plug-in tongue surface area of a contact area at a spigot end (11).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a method for transmitting messages over multiple wire electrical cables to a bus coupler for applications modules, which can accept different types of application modules via its applications interface, which is in the form of a plug socket.
Abstract: The method involves transmitting messages over multiple wire electrical cables to a bus coupler (19,21,23) for applications modules (20,22,24). Each bus coupler can accept the different types of application module via its applications interface (15), which is in the form of a plug socket. Each coupler's microcontroller (13) controls the data between the associated applications module at its applications interface for each socket and the wire pairs (4,6) in the field bus system cables (2,3).
