TL;DR: In this paper, a force-guided relay including switching contacts for switching an electrical device is used to output an indication output and a diagnosis output according to DIN EN ISO 13849 standard for a category 2, a category 3 and/or a category 4.
Abstract: The device has a force-guided relay (3) including switching contacts (7) for switching an electrical device. The force-guided relay includes an opener contact (5) for monitoring a switching state of the force-guided relay so that the monitored switching state is outputted at an output (2). The opener contact of the force-guided relay is connected in series between a power supply (1) and the output. The output is designed as an indication output and a diagnosis output according to DIN EN ISO 13849standard for a category 2, a category 3 and/or a category 4.

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple and safe parameterization of the safety-related apparatuses of an automation plant is provided by providing a start signal sent by the communication master is received, all further activities for parameterization are controlled by a logic module.
Abstract: Safety-related functions in automation systems for controlling industrial production processes are achieved by providing a simple and safe parameterization of the safety-related apparatuses of such an automation plant. After a start signal sent by the communication master is received, all further activities for parameterization are controlled by a logic module.

TL;DR: In this paper, a lightning detection system comprising a Faraday rotator (13, 31, 113) adapted for being arranged on or at a conductor (5) for receiving a lightning stroke and for transmitting a lightning induced current, the rotator further being influenced by the magnetic field which is induced by said lightning induced currents, and a light source (1) consisting of at least two different optical wavelengths.
Abstract: The invention refers to lightning detection system comprising a Faraday rotator (13, 31, 113) adapted for being arranged on or at a conductor (5) for receiving a lightning stroke and for transmitting a lightning induced current, the Faraday rotator (13, 31, 113) further being adapted for being influenced by the magnetic field which is induced by said lightning induced current, a light source (1) adapted for emitting light into the Faraday rotator (13, 31, 113), a light sensor (9)adapted for sensing the light which is transmitted through the Faraday rotator (13, 31, 113), and an analyzer (23) adapted for receiving a signal generated by the light sensor (9) and for outputting a lightning induced current signal, wherein the lightning induced current signal indicates at least one parameter of the lightning induced current, and the light source (1) comprises at least two different optical wavelengths. In this way, a lightning detection system can be achieved which is less prone to vibration interferences.

TL;DR: In this paper, eingangsschaltung fur eingangsbaugruppe zum sicheren Einlesen von anliegenden Eingangsignalen is discussed.
