29 Jul 2002TL;DR: In this paper, a method and a computer system for securing communication in networks of data processing units which can be used especially for individually created security units for portable computer systems is presented, where the data exchange between a data processing unit to be protected and the network is monitored and/or controlled by means of a computer program which is implemented in a security computer system as embedded software.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a computer system for securing communication in networks of data processing units which can be used especially for individually created security units for portable computer systems. In order to secure the communication, the data exchange between a data processing unit to be protected and the network is monitored and/or controlled by means of a computer program which is implemented in a security computer system as embedded software, the security computer system being inserted between the data processing device to be protected and the network. A computer system providing such protection is embodied as a single board computer or as a chip solution and comprises means for exchanging data with the data processing unit to be protected, means for exchanging data with the network, and means for monitoring and/or controlling the communication between the data processing unit to be protected and the network. To this end, a means for exchanging data with the data processing unit to be protected can be connected to the bus system of the data processing unit to be protected, and/or a means for exchanging data with the network is embodied as a network interface.

03 Apr 2008TL;DR: In this article, the turning lock is made of plastic, and is movably arranged in a turning lock retainer and/or opening of the base part of a pluggable plug.
Abstract: The device (1) has a base part (2) comprising connecting terminals arranged in a housing, and a pluggable plug part (3) comprising a surge arrester arranged in another housing. The base part is in electrical contact with the plug part over sockets and corresponding pins, and a detachable turning lock is arranged in the base part to produce a form-fit locking between the base part and the plug part. The turning lock is made of plastic, and is movably arranged in a turning lock retainer and/or opening of he base part.

12 Jan 2006TL;DR: In this article, a microprocessor is implemented to determine whether a predetermined amplitude of an analog signal to be measured lies outside of a predetermined operating range, which is a component of a safety device that is designed for multi-channel controlling of the electric drive.
Abstract: The device has a microprocessor (822) controlling an electric drive to be protected into a safe condition during operation of an emergency switch, protective door switch and/or two-hand switch and during a faulty operation of the switching device or the electric drive. The microprocessor is implemented to determine whether a predetermined amplitude of an analog signal to be measured lies outside of a predetermined operating range. The microprocessor is a component of a safety device that is designed for multi-channel controlling of the electric drive. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a three phase power output stage for controlling a three phase motor (2) a reversal switching arrangement for a three phase power output stage (3) a measuring device for measuring a periodic analog signal (4) a safety-related device e.g. electric drive, comprising a measuring device (5) a method for measuring a periodic analog signal (6) a safety device for multi-channel controlling of a safety-related device.

27 Oct 2001TL;DR: The spring clamp (1) is formed in one piece from a spring band material, for providing a bearing arm (4), a spring arm (11) and a clamp arm (2) for securing and contacting an electrical conductor, the bearing arm having at least 2 integral solder pins (10,12) for direct mechanical and electrical connection with a printed circuit board as discussed by the authors.

05 Sep 1998TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a control and data transmission system for field bus systems, in particular the interbus, from the point of view of safety procedures, in such a way that there is no need either for additional lines for the transmission of control signals or redundant, safety-related units.
Abstract: The invention concerns a control and data
transmission installation and a process for the
transmission of safety-related data in a control and data
transmission installation. The object of the invention is to improve
existing field bus systems, in particular the interbus,
from the point of view of safety procedures, in such a way
that there is no need either for additional lines for the
transmission of control signals or redundant, safety-related
units. The invention attains that object in that
arranged in the master control device (20) and in the bus
subscribers (30, 40, 50) are respective safety-related
devices (210; 80) for carrying out predetermined safety
functions, and that the safety-related devices (80; 210)
can communicate with each other by way of the field bus
(10).
