TL;DR: In this paper, a feedback linearization theory is applied to a single-phase shunt active power filter, and a sliding mode controller is proposed to impose a desired dynamic behavior on the system.
Abstract: The aim of this work is the application of the feedback linearization theory to a single-phase shunt active power filter, since this technique has been successfully applied to other areas of power electronic. The active filter is linearized by means of a nonlinear transformation of the system model, deduced from the application of Tellegen's theorem to the system. After that, a sliding mode controller is proposed to impose a desired dynamic behavior on the system, giving robustness and insensitivity to parameter variations. Moreover, the proposed controller ensures proper tracking of the reference signals and simplifies the overall control design. The controller was implemented into a low cost DSP. Experimental and simulation results are provided.

TL;DR: In this article, the instantaneous value of burning rate was established as a function of time, which allowed the analysis of the transient periods at the beginning (fire development) and end (fire extinction) of the whole process.

TL;DR: A comparison of the performances of all the GIMs created in the frame of IGS, and the main conclusion is the consistency of the results between so many different GIM techniques and implementations.
Abstract: In the context of the International GNSS Service (IGS), several IGS Ionosphere Associated Analysis Centers have developed different techniques to provide global ionospheric maps (GIMs) of vertical total electron content (VTEC) since 1998. In this paper we present a comparison of the performances of all the GIMs created in the frame of IGS. Indeed we compare the classical ones (for the ionospheric analysis centers CODE, ESA/ESOC, JPL and UPC) with the new ones (NRCAN, CAS, WHU). To assess the quality of them in fair and completely independent ways, two assessment methods are used: a direct comparison to altimeter data (VTEC-altimeter) and to the difference of slant total electron content (STEC) observed in independent ground reference stations (dSTEC-GPS). The main conclusion of this study, performed during one solar cycle, is the consistency of the results between so many different GIM techniques and implementations.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of RAP variability on bituminous mixtures was analyzed by determining the stiffness modulus and indirect tensile strength and cracking and fatigue behaviour of two semi-dense mixtures of 12 and 20mm maximum aggregate size.
