Abstract: This work presents the identification of dynamic parameters in automotive vehicles. In order to develop the identification problem, a dynamic model is obtained for the front suspension of a race car. Two new dynamic models are developed, the first of which is based on the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), while the second comprises two consecutive steps: elimination of less contributive parameters and application of a SVD method. Finally, both models are analyzed and validated by means of data cross-referencing for new trajectories other than those used during the identification process. The model obtained using the elimination reproduces the dynamic behavior with very good approximation even with the inclusion of errors, so it is presented as the most viable methodology for obtaining base parameters.

Abstract: En la siguiente comunicacion se presenta un curso sobre la tecnologia de circuitos hibridos en capa gruesa que esta incluida en la pagina web del Grupo de Microelectronica Hibrida de la Universidad Politecnica de Valencia. Por medio de este curso se ha pretendido un acercamiento alumno de Ingenieria Electronica a las tecnicas de la microelectronica hibrida de capa gruesa. El enfoque del curso es eminentemente practico para que asi pueda utilizarlas en sus Proyectos Fin de Carrera y otros trabajos de postgrado, utilizando para ello las instalaciones e instrumental del laboratorio.

Abstract: En el presente articulo se describe la forma en que la asignatura Electronica de Potencia, asignatura troncal correspondiente al titulo Ingeniero Tecnico Industrial especialidad en Electronica Industrial, ha sido modificada para su adecuacion al nuevo sistema europeo de transferencia de creditos (ECTS). Se presenta los contenidos teoricos y practicos, la planificacion horaria y el sistema de evaluacion original, para a continuacion describir cuales eran los objetivos a alcanzar marcados por ECTS y cual ha sido la actuacion realizada para llegar a satisfacerlos intentando mantener las mismas cargas lectivas y docentes para alumnos y profesores respectivamente. El articulo no pretende ser ningun manual de referencia para la implantacion de ECTS en asignaturas, sino mas bien se desea reflejar la experiencia llevada a cabo por los profesores de la asignatura para adaptarla a este nuevo sistema.

Abstract: Iberoamerican in the course of history has been part of the largest earthquakes that have occurred on the planet. Just mention on the side of the peninsula, the Lisbon earthquake occurred in the year 1755. On the side of Latin America, the earthquake in Chile occurred in 2010. These events and occurred in the rest of the world have awakened the interest of the scientific community in the context of developing prevention or prediction models. Earthquakes according to the theory of elastic fracture can be anticipated; early detection of these phenomena is possible due to the accumulated internal energy that is released in the form of seismic waves received by earthquake-receptor species as Lumbricus terrestris Linnaeus. In this logic, it is proposed to assess the potential of this species earthquake-receptor in early detection of earthquakes. Methodologically, the study used a comprehensive review of literature, which allowed an approach to state of the art the object of study. It is concluded that indeed L. terrestres is a species able to anticipate earthquakes.

Abstract: Different wind wave spectrum representations for shallow water are compared from a parametric point of view, including formulations with both constant (TMA and FRF spectra) and variable (Wallops-SW and GLERL spectra) frequency exponents. The results of the research clearly show the necessity of at least four parameters in order to achieve an adequate representation of the full range of the spectrum in non-saturated or decaying seas propagating in shallow water. Furthermore, when the modelling of the high frequency range is not of special interest, the total number of independent parameters could be reduced to only three without considerable loss of accuracy. Comparisons of theoretical shallow water spectral forms with spectra calculated from actual field measurements do not show any definite tendency in performance, being possible to obtain good results with any of the studied spectra. So, the selection of which spectrum to use in a particular application is still a quite subjective decision, being of importance the availability of input parameters needed for each model.

Abstract: Este articulo presenta una metodologia docente que integra satisfactoriamente la leccion magistral, los problemas de aula, las practicas de laboratorio, la evaluacion y el trabajo del alumno fuera del horario lectivo. La leccion magistral, los problemas de aula y las practicas de laboratorio se plantean proponiendo al alumno un proyecto informatico real simplificado al inicio del curso cuya resolucion es el hilo conductor de toda la docencia. La evaluacion de la asignatura esta formada por pruebas distintas en las que cabe destacar el "miniproyecto", un trabajo en grupo que obliga a poner en practica las aptitudes deseadas. EL "miniproyecto" implica, ademas, poder orientar el aprendizaje del alumno fuera del horario lectivo. Para conseguirlo ha sido necesario desarrollar un simulador de sistemas de adquisicion de datos que pueden emplear los alumnos en sus casas para desarrollar el trabajo y afianzar los conocimientos
