TL;DR: In this communication, the measurement equipment quality is analysed through the trace of the estimated state covariance matrix and two new parameters attached to any measurement signal are defined, making possible the qualitative and quantitative study of the precission measurement system when any change in the system configuration happens.

TL;DR: The ionic potential is considered as a parameter representative of chromatographic behaviour in ionic compounds and a correlation is proposed between the RM value and the ionic Potential of the cation and the anion respectively.
Abstract: The ionic potential is considered as a parameter representative of chromatographic behaviour in ionic compounds and a correlation is proposed between the RM value and the ionic potential of the cation and the anion respectively. For the alkaline earth chlorides, the discontinuity in the graph of-RM versus ionic potential of the cation, is explained beyond the change of ionic character in these compounds. For the barium halides, the change in the order of RF is estimated from the polarizability of the anion.

TL;DR: In this paper, the degenerative process of the lake of La Albufera is analyzed with the help of a series of chemical and biological analysis, focusing on the progressive salinization and its chloride cycle, observing that this is due to a marine intrusion.
Abstract: SUMMARY In the present study the degenerative process of the lake of La Albufera is analyzed with the help of a series of chemical and biological analysis. Special attention is paid to the progressive salinization of the lake and to its chloride cycle, observing that this is due to a marine intrusion. Also the presence of other types of contaminants (heavy metals) and the eutrophication are studied, pointing out the effects of all this on the diatom flora, specially on the populations of Synedra sp., Nitzschia palea, Cyclotella atomus, Cyclotella maneghiniana and Melosira varians.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study the effect of different oceanographic conditions on the dilution process of wastes and sea waters in the Mediterranean Sea, and they find its causes in economic developement and in the trend of men to settle in the coastal zones.
Abstract: The sea has always been the great basin which collects the final wastes from human activities, and its digesting capability has been well shown; but in the last few years the waste products have begun to increase up to the point of producing a dangerous ambiental response. We find its causes in the economic developement and in the trend of men to settle in the coastal zones, basically. The problem is particularly acute in the litorals of certain marginal seas such as the Mediterranean Sea, - where some serious consequences have been produced, for instance the alarming decrease of the quantity of fishing captures; and it is even worse - in certain confined areas having very particular hydrodynamic conditions, as it can be seen in the Albufera of Valencia. A closer knowledge of the pollutants and of their concentrations in both wastes and sea waters is necessary, so that one can define some solution based either on a traitement or on an adequate disposal system or on both of them properly combined. That leads us to the study of the different oceanographical conditions that will affect the dilution process. But in spite of the corrective capability of sea waters, a dangerous approach to the irreversible point of pollution is just being reached. Recent researches trying to get basic data, such as the present state of the Ecosystem and its residual capability of recovery, will only be efficient if complemented with an adequate coastal zone management-policy, affecting all the shores of one sea.
