TL;DR: This absorber integrates both the plasmonic resonances and the dielectric-like loss and opens a path for the interesting applications such as solar thermophotovoltaics and optical circuits.
Abstract: A high-temperature stable broadband plasmonic absorber is designed, fabricated, and optically characterized. A broadband absorber with an average high absorption of 95% and a total thickness of 240 nm is fabricated, using a refractory plasmonic material, titanium nitride. This absorber integrates both the plasmonic resonances and the dielectric-like loss. It opens a path for the interesting applications such as solar thermophotovoltaics and optical circuits.

TL;DR: It is shown that at a certain gate bias, the impact of the metal on the channel potential profile extends into the channel for more than one-third of the total channel length from both source and drain sides; hence, most of the channel is affected by the metal.
Abstract: We measure the channel potential of a graphene transistor using a scanning photocurrent imaging technique. We show that at a certain gate bias, the impact of the metal on the channel potential profile extends into the channel for more than one-third of the total channel length from both source and drain sides; hence, most of the channel is affected by the metal. The potential barrier between the metal-controlled graphene and bulk graphene channel is also measured at various gate biases. As the gate bias exceeds the Dirac point voltage, VDirac, the original p-type graphene channel turns into a p-n-p channel. When light is focused on the p-n junctions, an impressive external responsivity of 0.001 A/W is achieved, given that only a single layer of atoms are involved in photon detection.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted a qualitative review and meta-analysis of the existing literature to better under-stand the relationships between contractual and relational governance, and found that the mutual relationships between the two types of governance are moderated by the institutional environments, the interorganizational relationship type and length, and the construct measurement of contracts.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an algorithm which decides whether or not a condition X, Y stated in sequential calculus admits a finite automata solution, and produces one if it exists.
Abstract: Our main purpose is to present an algorithm which decides whether or not a condition 𝕮(X, Y) stated in sequential calculus admits a finite automata solution, and produces one if it exists. This solves a problem stated in [4] and contains, as a very special case, the answer to Case 4 left open in [6]. In an equally appealing form the result can be restated in the terminology of [7], [10], [15]: Every ω-game definable in sequential calculus is determined. Moreover the player who has a winning strategy, in fact, has a winning finite-state strategy, that is one which can effectively be played in a strong sense. The main proof, that of the central Theorem 1, will be presented at the end. We begin with a discussion of its consequences.
