TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed 114 NYSE or AMEX-listed corporations with majority shareholders and found that majority shareholders are approximately equally divided between corporations and individuals and are typically both directors and officers.

TL;DR: A circumplex model is developed as a tool for clinical diagnosis and for specifying treatment goals with couples and families that proposes that a balanced level of both cohesion and adaptability is the most functional to marital and family development.
Abstract: The conceptual clustering of numerous concepts from family therapy and other social science fields reveals two significant dimensions of family behavior, cohesion and adaptability. These two dimensions are placed into a circumplex model that is used to identify 16 types of marital and family systems. The model proposes that a balanced level of both cohesion and adaptability is the most functional to marital and family development. It postulates the need for a balance on the cohesion dimension between too much closeness (which leads to enmeshed systems) and too little closeness (which leads to disengaged systems). There also needs to be a balance on the adaptability dimension between too much change (which leads to chaotic systems) and too little change (which leads to rigid systems). The model was developed as a tool for clinical diagnosis and for specifying treatment goals with couples and families.

TL;DR: The first atomic resolution structure of an animal virus, human rhinovirus 14, strikingly similar to known icosahedral plant RNA viruses, and four neutralizing immunogenic regions have been identified.
Abstract: We report the first atomic resolution structure of an animal virus, human rhinovirus 14. It is strikingly similar to known icosahedral plant RNA viruses. Four neutralizing immunogenic regions have been identified. These, and corresponding antigenic sequences of polio and foot-and-mouth disease viruses, reside on external protrusions. A large cleft on each icosahedral face is probably the host cell receptor binding site.

TL;DR: Unparalleled wavefront control in a broadband optical wavelength range from 1.0 to 1.9 micrometers is experimentally demonstrated using an extremely thin plasmonic layer consisting of an optical nanoantenna array that provides subwavelength phase manipulation on light propagating across the interface.
Abstract: The precise manipulation of a propagating wave using phase control is a fundamental building block of optical systems. The wavefront of a light beam propagating across an interface can be modified arbitrarily by introducing abrupt phase changes. We experimentally demonstrated unparalleled wavefront control in a broadband optical wavelength range from 1.0 to 1.9 micrometers. This is accomplished by using an extremely thin plasmonic layer (~λ/50) consisting of an optical nanoantenna array that provides subwavelength phase manipulation on light propagating across the interface. Anomalous light-bending phenomena, including negative angles of refraction and reflection, are observed in the operational wavelength range.
