TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus for terminating a member from a group call in a group communication network provides for receiving an indication from a user who wishes to terminate participation in group call and sending a request to a server to terminate the user from the group call.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for terminating a member from a group call in a group communication network provides for receiving an indication from a user who wishes to terminate participation in a group call and sending a request to a server to terminate the user from the group call. The method and apparatus further provides for the server to receive the request for terminating a user from a group call, terminate the user from the group call, and send a response indicating that the user is terminated from the group call.

TL;DR: In this article, a decoding algorithm called the Maxwell decoder is introduced and a constructive description of the relationship between belief propagation and maximum a posteriori decoding is provided, which is reminiscent of the Maxwell construction in thermodynamics.
Abstract: There is a fundamental relationship between belief propagation and maximum a posteriori decoding. A decoding algorithm, which is called the Maxwell decoder, is introduced and provides a constructive description of this relationship. Both the algorithm itself and the analysis of the new decoder are reminiscent of the Maxwell construction in thermodynamics. This paper investigates in detail the case of transmission over the binary erasure channel, while the extension to general binary memoryless channels is discussed in a companion paper.

20 Mar 2001TL;DR: In this article, a mobile SPS receiver receives, in one embodiment, an ordered set of satellite positioning system (SPS) satellites from a cellular transmission site, which are those in view of the receiver at a given time.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to obtain an ordered set of satellite positioning system (SPS) satellites, in view of a mobile SPS receiver, via one or two-way communication with the mobile SPS receiver. The mobile SPS receiver receives, in one embodiment, an ordered set of SPS satellites from a cellular transmission site. The ordered set of satellites are those in view of the mobile SPS receiver at a given time; such that the mobile SPS receiver may search for the SPS satellites according to an order of the ordered set of SPS satellites. The order of the ordered set may be obtained by various methods one of which is by minimizing the geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) Satellite; health data may be included in the transmission.

03 Dec 2003TL;DR: In this paper, a structure of a structure release and a manufacturing method for an interference display cell is described, where the structure includes a first electrode, a second electrode and at least one supporter.
Abstract: A structure of a structure release and a manufacturing method are provided. The structure and manufacturing method are adapted for an interference display cell. The structure of the interference display cell includes a first electrode, a second electrode and at least one supporter. The second electrode has at least one hole and is arranged about parallel with the first electrode. The supporter is located between the first electrode and the second electrode and a cavity is formed. In the release etch process of manufacturing the structure, an etchant can pass through the hole to etch a sacrificial layer between the first and the second electrodes to form the cavity; therefore, the time needed for the process becomes shorter.

26 Sep 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a mobile computing device (MCD) and docking station (dock) are individually equipped with features and components that enable charging/power signals to be communicated from the dock to the MCD without use of connectors.
Abstract: A mobile computing device (‘MCD’) and docking station (‘dock’) are individually equipped with features and components that enable charging/power signals to be communicated from the dock to the MCD without use of connectors. Other embodiments provide for the MCD or the dock to identify an orientation of the MCD as retained on the docking station. As an addition or alternative, magnetic coupling may be used to maintain and/or orient the two devices in a mated position.
