TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide a method of receiving a transmission from two or more wireless communication devices, which includes receiving a first preamble transmitted by a first wireless device, simultaneously receiving a second PREAMBLE transmitted by the second wireless device.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication are disclosed herein. One aspect of the disclosure provides a method of receiving a transmission from two or more wireless communication devices. The method includes receiving a first preamble transmitted by a first wireless device; simultaneously receiving a second preamble transmitted by a second wireless device; receiving a first portion of the transmission in a first section of a bandwidth, the first portion transmitted by the first wireless device including a first data section; and simultaneously receiving a second portion of the transmission in a second section of the bandwidth, the second section of the bandwidth not overlapping with the first section of the bandwidth, the second portion transmitted by the second wireless device, the second portion including a second data section.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method and apparatuses that facilitate allowing position determination of devices in wireless networks with home evolved Node Bs (HeNBs), which can determine its location based at least in part on positioning measurements from one or more devices.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided that facilitate allowing position determination of devices in wireless networks with home evolved Node Bs (HeNB). An HeNB can determine its location based at least in part on positioning measurements from one or more devices. The HeNB can additionally or alternatively register its location or other location parameters with a positioning server for subsequent provisioning as assistance information for determining a device position. Moreover, a device can request assistance information related to a different base station where the HeNB is not registered with the positioning server.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a new type of diversity, referred to as multiple carrier diversity by utilizing multiple carriers, assigning different power levels to each carrier frequency at each base station, and offsetting sector antennas.
Abstract: In many cellular systems, reusing spectrum bandwidth, creates problems in boundary regions between the cells and sectors where the signal strength received from adjacent base stations or adjacent sector transmissions of a single base station may be nearly equivalent. The invention creates a new type of diversity, referred to as multiple carrier diversity by utilizing multiple carriers, assigning different power levels to each carrier frequency at each base station, and/or offsetting sector antennas. The cell and/or sector coverage areas can be set so as to minimize or eliminate overlap between cell and/or sector boundary regions of different carrier frequencies. Mobile nodes traveling throughout the system can exploit multiple carrier diversity by detecting carriers and selecting to use a non-boundary carrier based on other system criteria in order to improve performance. Boundary carriers may, but need not be, identified and excluded from consideration for use by a wireless terminal.

TL;DR: In this paper, a UE may perform a RAU procedure before performing a CS call setup procedure when the UE has camped on a Non-DTM GERAN target after failing to access a redirection target.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for improving Circuit Switched (CS) Fallback performance, such as in an LTE network, are described. In one aspect, a UE may perform a RAU procedure before performing a CS call setup procedure when the UE has camped on a Non-DTM GERAN target after failing to access a redirection target. In another aspect, an MME may determine whether to perform a PS suspension based on an ISR status associated with a user terminal. In another aspect, an eNB may send information associated with a PS suspension to a user terminal.
